Sept 10-11, 2026. Thankful to cover the photos again for our local Searcy County Fair. Area kids put a lot of time and effort into their animals and I love watching them shine. And of course, photographing them when the animals pull their funny stunts as well. Thankful to live here, where the population is 12 people per square mile. There’s a beauty and peace that can’t be matched. #ozarklife by @terrafondriest

May 14-17, 2026. My daughter and I took our first trip to NYC together this past weekend to see Ozark Life exhibited in @photoville and to check out all the amazing work exhibited there. Thankful to @billmarr for working with me to design and curate my cube. My fav part was seeing kids drag their parents over to show them all the critters in the photos!

We had a time being tourists and taking photos that have been taken a million times over ha, what a truly wild place!! Riding the subway for the first time. Thankful for @lizmariesanders and her dog June helping us navigate and love our time there even more. So excited to also exhibit alongside my magical friend @arinyoon with her project Scars of War. And to see and meet other photographers and editors. There wasn’t enough time! Thankful to my brother and his family for traveling there from Chicago to see it with us. Amazing to see neighbors in NYC loving each other like I see in the Ozarks, such beauty in that. I also need to clean my mouth back out now that I’m home in Arkansas. #ozarklife by @terrafondriest

May 1-2, 2026. The annual Water Creek Knap-in, with this year’s headline story being Gwen’s severed toe. Friends gathered from states across the country once again for fellowship through the art of flint knapping. I cooked in the kitchen for my 5th year, and took a few photos when I could. #ozarklife @watercreekknapin by @terrafondriest

April 2026. 1. Dead ash trees from the emerald ash borer have finally become a reality in our county, which in combination with the drought, led to a miserable morel season this year. 2. The morning after I had laid moist shiitakes from our logs out on parchment. 3. Shiitake logs. 4/5. Prom pics 6. Meat chicken butcher day 7. Jack chasing rocks I throw into the water, cause he’s special. #ozarklife by @terrafondriest

Ozark Life’s headed to New York City! So excited to have my project chosen for an exhibit in @photoville this year! I’ve worked closely with the amazing @billmarr to design 144 square feet of awesomeness that will be in the Brooklyn Bridge Park space. Thankful to be a part of this one of a kind festival!

Published fall 2025 in @fieldandstream magazine, a handful of images from the squirrel hunt I photographed at the Jackson Point hunting club outside Elaine, Arkansas in an oxbow of the Mississippi River. Written by Bill Heavey, the piece emphasizes the thrill of squirrel hunting with dogs and friends, and the shenanigans that accompany. A bit of a dream assignment for me, love being in the woods with my camera and working dogs, and the gourmet food cooked by Thomas, one of the hunters, was the cherry on top. March 28-30, spring things. Annual sheep shearing day with my friend Mary and her flock. She raises Merrino Romney cross sheep and makes and sells products from their wool @marys_little_lambs_products . They are the friendliest sheep because Mary does everything with sunshine and love in her life. She was talking to the sheep in the first picture to tell it the shearing was over and it was time to get back up…

Other spring things, first morel mushrooms of the year found this weekend, dogwoods are blooming early, a praying mantis nest, and Joe by a blighted Ozark Chinquapin. #ozarklife
