I woke up this morning and literally have an 18 year old! I’m a beyond blessed to know her much less mother her. I’d choose her even if she wasn’t already chosen for me. What a kind young woman I have here. She continues to amaze me. I’m glad I get to be a part of her life. My magnum opus. My new Florida girl. Help me wish Aila the happiest birthday.
If you want please send her a little walking around money. We’re still accepting donations for her team’s Hawaii tournament.

@ailascourt I marvel at you! What a strong, resilient, beautiful and smart young lady you are! When you sat on the sidelines for a year I saw you grow mentally. Your teams have been better because of you! Whether it’s on the sideline or on the court The Pistols, Blitz, FBC AND @aeblgirlz have all gotten you to where you are. This is the last year of AAU! Can you believe it?! I’m proud of you. I’m elated to see you work to get closer to your dreams. On to the next chapter. Take what you can, give what you can afford. This year will be fast. Let me relish in what we’ve accomplished. You know there’ll be tears but you know I love you big. Just know the end marks a milestone. 7 years, blood, sweat, tears, surgery and joy!
For such a time as this! Ester 4:14

Did you give your teenager an Easter basket? I never really did Easter baskets but have from time to time. I gave it to her after we got home from church.
Aila never expects them. So I packed it with things she needed and wanted for the start of AAU basketball season.
In the basket she received:
Earbuds
Nike slides
Candy and gum
Nike socks
Vitamins
Sports bra
Lego flower by @terriscourt

Aaronica is a when you don't ask but offers kinda friend.
With Aila's and my busy schedule leading up to homecoming the hunt for a dress was falling. It is very hard to find a dress for this 6-footer. As, I was talking to my friend about all that she jumped in. Even with all she had going on. (I think it took 2 days maybe)
Aila sent her the inspo and said she wanted real gold color and viola! Magic.
I feel so special to have several pieces made by Aaronica even though she doesn't sew for everyone. by @terriscourt

Aila scored 4/5 on her AP World History exam. She was so excited to see her increase from last year's 3 score pre-exam. #notjustbasketball #ScholarAthlete by @terriscourt

Tuesday was Aila's first game post surgery. I can't say I wasn't nervous to see her back on the court. The nerves were gone, after seeing her reaction to her made 3 pointer. Aila's a post player, but she was out there playing. #OwnyourMoment @davgen26 asked her what did you think when you got the ball? Her response was, "Shoot it!" AND SHE DID!
I love this for her.
Fyi this is the same shot different angles. It's great being in a team where we cheer for all our girls. The shouting in one video was from @aeshiadevorebranch and Sydiqua! Thanks y'all. by @terriscourt

Goal met. Romeo & Juliet Broadway Rachel Zegler and Kit Connor did not disappoint. Aila's long arms got her autographs from some of the performers after the show. by @terriscourt
