Mechanical Kiss is out today.

Eight years after Swum, Puzzle Muteson returns with ten songs shaped between the mountains of Acquarossa, the concrete heat of Bangkok, New York and Reykjavík. Moving away from the spare fingerpicked guitar of his earlier records, Terry Magson’s unmistakable voice sits inside submerged basslines, tactile electronics and sudden harmonic shifts.

Produced by Manuele Chiaravalloti and Valgeir Sigurðsson, who mixed and mastered the album at Greenhouse Studios, Mechanical Kiss features contributions from Nico Muhly, Benjamin Meyer, Giovanni Corgiat Mecio and Francesco Fabris, with Chantal Acda joining Terry on “Above the Stage”.

Stream on your service of choice, or find the CD and digital edition on Bandcamp. Link in bio.

Hi,
you may or may not know, I have a new album in the coming days.
It's a lot different to the last releases with thick beats, galangal, submerged bass and dark electronics, zero guitar. When writing the vocals for this record I was also along the way writing more of the melancholy folk songs. I have a couple of albums in me of that still to record.I haven't completely left that part of me. Here's a song from a few years ago which i'd just finished writing and made a quick raw, rough video of it to remember the song. I'd actually forgot about this one until finding this vid last week. by @terrymagson
