NEW SCHOOL RECORD & PR!! amazing day at our conference meet today for shotput. beat my pr by almost two feet and broke the school record. insanely happy with the results from today! huge thanks to @freeman.throws70 @thegrovetc by @terrynn.throws

first day back in the ring after being crutch bound for 3 weeks (again ik🥲) BUT, things are coming along very smoothly and so much better than i had anticipated going into it. it's definitely aggravating still having limitations and having to take things slow. however, i am overly glad my body is healing as well as it is in such a short period of time allowing me to come back and start my outdoor season. we're shaking the rust off and letting things flow!! i'm very hopeful heading into these next few weeks of recovery and i'm itching to see how we translate all this work into comp. by @terrynn.throws

injuries are never easy, especially as a first semester collegiate athlete. it's been a long three weeks but i'm blessed to be transitioning off of crutches and regaining strength in my ankle everyday with rehab as i thought i may have lost half my freshman season. the caution and thought of "what if it happens again" will always be there but i'm using this as a stepping stone to rebuild and allow for a greater comeback. i have many goals and achievements i'm reaching for this season and i'm so excited to see what comes of it. well, we broke the discus slump (hopefully it stays that way😅) and we are headed down to EIU for state next week!! this has been a goal of mine for so long and i pulled it off in pre-lims and settled down in finals for some better marks! also met the GOAT who's been such an inspiration of mine while i've grown as an athlete and was so motivating and exciting to compete in front of her. reaching for some nice marks next week!!

definitely not my best series yesterday. fouled my first two in shot, ended with a 10.81 on my third. discs were not flying how i wish they would've and unfortunately still in a slump. hit a 30.57, fouled my second, and didn't go up from there. it's been quite a struggle for me lately but we're trying to work through it with some big meets coming up. by @terrynn.throws

still hesitant coming out the back but it's coming together slowly. didn't fly exactly how i wanted but finish was still good. 2 of 3 were PR throws.

double pr today! 10.39->10.51 shot, 31.47->31.49 disc
wet ring affected what would've been larger pr's for disc but work is still needed by @terrynn.throws

sunday->today. granted today's wind carried every disc straight up and back down but, discus has been a HUGEEE struggle for me lately transitioning from indoor but we're getting things dialed in. working some new but quick improvement cues and they seem to be working🤷🏻‍♀️ not perfect but far better than it's been which is exciting

it wasn't the outcome we wanted but progression while competing isn't always linear and that's okay! big stage=big nerves, we'll get used to that. we know what changes have to be made to get things rolling for my first outdoor meet in a week and a half. next time you see me indoors will be in the bluegrass😉 taken in Illinois Wesleyan University by @terrynn.throws

competed earlier today and on Tuesday of this week. we've been working on some technical changes lately and they're beginning to show in my throws. i ended tuesday with a 10.22 and today with a 10.35 which is again right under my pr and my best career indoor performance which furthers my school record. not my best series on either day but something to work on as we transition to outdoor after next week. by @terrynn.throws

another school record! smashed our girls indoor shotput school record by 7 feet, placed first, and am just under my PR! overall a great day and things are definitely improving! by @terrynn.throws

New Balance Illinois Meet of Champions Shotput Champ! little bit bumpy of a day but ended with a first place and 10.07m. just under my PR and is so far my best indoor performance! by @terrynn.throws
