MANO x MNRL is in @harrods! We couldn’t be more proud. @ritaora and I have joined @joshuamanonz and @tessajrich in founding this incredible fragrance house which is not only a dope smushing together of Aotearoa and UK hearts and souls, but also the cleanest luxury perfume in the world. The first and only luxury fragrance House to fully adhere to Breast Cancer UK’s Chemicals of Concern lists. We’re dedicated to creating amazing perfumes free from known carcinogens, hormone and endocrine disruptors, and PFAS forever chemicals - without compromising artistry or performance. As the children of cancer survivors, this was super important to Rita and I, and one of the main reasons we joined Josh and Tess on this mission. (Re)designed from the ground up (it takes time to reinvent the science of safe smellies), we've created eight perfumes for anyone and everyone. Mano x Mnrl is about infinite identity and radical purity baby! @manoxmnrl - that’s us and our thing. Oh, and mass love to everyone at @harrods for supporting us and our launch. Especially the staff in the epic black hall who have been incredible. ❤️❤️❤️ #MANOxMNRL #BreastCancerUK #CleanFragrance #HormoneConscious #Harrods by @tessajrich
REFLECTIONS OF GHOST Halloween seemed apt for a little retrospective of my time as Creative Director of the UK fashion brand, ‘Ghost.’ I had longed for a Ghost dress since my days as a fashion student, so to have @sandygoldsbrough task me with bringing the brand out of a financial dead-end was the opening of a dream for me. We worked with the iconic, original Italian ‘shrinkage’ viscose from the master that is Nunnari. Visiting his home base of Lake Lugano, Switzerland for morning business planning, before heading to his fabric mill by Lake Como, Italy, and ending with cocktails at the magnificent ‘Villa d’Este’ hotel are memories I’ll forever cherish. As we expanded the range, we travelled far & wide: Milan Italy, Bucharest Romania (recall the taxidermy hotel @paulsimonson.couture ?!), Hong Kong, all across China from Humen Dongguan, Shantou, Shenzhen, Shamian Island Guangzhou, over to Guangdong, Guilin, and Lijiang in Yunnan and the samurai plains and mountains at the foothills of the Himalayas, and all the way up to Beijing (and a quick pop to the Forbidden City & Great Wall of China with @pmtrixci) and back to the Old Chapel at the far end of Notting Hill, London that we called home! Starting at just 30 years old, I had the privilege of introducing and overseeing the expansion of Ghost across clothing, leather goods, award-winning silver jewellery, homeware, opticals, and our global fragrance partnership with Procter & Gamble. I’ll always be heartbroken that our Icelandic funding melted and my Ghost journey vanished into the light of another. However, it was a vital piece of a bigger jigsaw for me—and it’s one Ghost I’m more than happy to have lingering beautifully in my wardrobe! @alexgorebrowne @yong.london @yongfong.london @duji_nanda @annmariemcdonagh73 @lynseydorman @chrislowe.creative.director @chloemallettphoto @amberpep @lilycole @_gabriellawilde_ @mssophiedahl @vogue @bazaaruk @officialbrownthomas @harrods #ghostlondon #ghostfashion #ghostperfume #abeautifulghost by @tessajrich
