Remember those scraps I’ve been working with this week?

They came from this project!
I’m so happy to share that my Christmas quilt “Holiday Lane” featuring Tiny Christmas fabric by @lizzyhousestudio is now available in the December 2025 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting.

This quilt is going to be one of my main holiday decorations. It is completely beginner friendly and customizable to the fabrics you want to feature in your quilt.
Have lots of large scale prints? Make more large houses!
Have lots of jelly roll strips? Make more of block B!

@madebyabrunnette made a completely ADORABLE mini of this quilt that you should absolutely check out on the APQ website.

I’ve been having so many ideas on how to make another version of this quilt with all the extra ribbons and yo-yos. Maybe hexagon windows? What do you think?

I have been waiting a whole YEAR to show this quilt off to y'all.

This sweet ice cream block quilt pattern is available now in the current issue of American Patchwork and Quilting.

Made from my stash of fabrics in perfect ice cream colors. The background fabric is Motley in Arnold by @giucy_giuce and it was longarmed by Cara at @sew_colorado_quilting who always takes such good care of my quilts.
When researching designs for the quilting, I found the Fire Mage panto from @juliehirt and it could not be more *perfect*. I love how this panto mirrors the shape of the ice cream blocks so much.
This quilt was a joy to make and I hope y'all love it as much as I do.

I am thrilled to finally be able to share that I have a pattern in the April 2025 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting Magazine.

It has been hard to keep this one secret! I hope you all love this quilt as much as I do. I designed it the moment I learned that @lizzyhousestudio was going to be designing fabric again. I’m so glad @allpeoplequilt gave me the opportunity to share this with you all.

Quilting done by Cara at @sew_colorado_quilting who has just been incredible to worth with this past year. I am so thankful for her.

Thank you also to @modafabrics who provided the fabric last summer so that we could get this quilt out close to the fabric release.

Day 16: Magic

I really wanted the genie from this @lizzyhousestudio print in the center but didn’t have a scrap with him on it (this is my last scrap actually!). I think this is still magic enough.
I was struggling with the hexie too until I found a very old scrap of @tulapink
Potions are certainly magic.

This was the prompt I struggled the most to find fabric for so far. But it wasn’t impossible. And I’m still completely pulling all fabrics from scrap buckets!

Day Fifteen: Snack

The hexie was way easier than the Economy center today. I have so many scraps of that gummy bear fabric floating around because I got a full bolt when the line came out. Gummy bears are my favorite snack.

I finally decided to check my multicolor bucket for any sort of snack and found this print. I had gotten a FQ bundle of this line but didn’t use this particular print so I dumped the FQ in my scraps (are FQs scraps for anyone else?). I think the colors in this one sit so nicely with my other blocks.

Day Fourteen: Road

That center fabric has been in my scrap bin for well over a decade. It was just big enough to fit here. It came to me as a scrap so I never had yardage which is why I’ve always been a bit hesitant to use it. I’m glad it’s the center feature of my block. A road full of cars. I picked that black scrap to give the cars an actual road to drive on.

The hexie… is a stretch. No small car scrap. No roads. But mailboxes are on the road so I settled for this guy. At least he’s absolutely adorable.

Day Thirteen: Bunny

I threw these fabrics together randomly because I’ve had some things outside the studio that needed my attention. But now all I can think it I need a mustard/navy/grey quilt asap.

I almost used the hexie fabric in the center of my economy (it was a larger scrap) but I thought the bunny was too small. I’m so glad I didn’t make that center pink. Plus the bunny is the perfect size for a 1” hex.

Day Twelve: Mountain

This was an easy grab. I’ve been saving this @wattsalot scrap of fabric for a long time. Paired it with some moody colors and perfection.

The hexie was harder. No tiny mountains in my smalls bucket. But I did come across this print that reminded me of a mountain range so I decided to use it.

Day Eleven: Cozy

My favorite block so far. Without a doubt. I wanted the bunny who was reading a book but he wasn’t in my scraps so I kept myself to my challenge and used this guy instead.

Did manage to find a little library scrap for my hexie though.

Day Ten: Tea

I’ve had to fully dump two scrap buckets on the ground to find the prints for today’s theme. I wasn’t sure I was even going to be able to keep to the smalls bucket for the hexie but I found that teacup on a corner triangle from when I had fussy cut a chicken from that fabric.
It’s amazing what I’m discovering in my scrap bin.
