Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes yesterday! 34 feels good :)

Saying goodbye to the Kia was bittersweet…we took care of each other every mile of the way, and I’m proud of myself for leaving it in as good of shape as when I found it. I want to say I’ll miss the Kia, but this new truck is sweet!

The last 12 months have been so hard. I’m going to face 34 with confidence and belief in myself…I’m so grateful for my Mia, my family, my friends, my job, and this new version of myself that I’m still settling into. I know I’m doing my best every day, and for all of my haters out there, you’re only making me stronger.

Thankful for the little time I got to spend with @bluecoats this summer. Dan and Tgas I love you guys like brothers. Benjy, Jared, and John you guys smoked it with the Bloobies and I’m so proud of you. Bangers staff are some of my best friends and I love hanging with you guys so much. Thanks to everyone for always keeping me around. Congratulations!

Also huge shout out to my long time student and friend Evan Loyd for leading the Blue Q on his 3rd season with the group. You’re growing up so fast and I’m so proud of the person and leader you’ve become!

For most of my life, I have been a part of the marching arts. It completely shaped who I am and gave me a life worth living. It gave me purpose, introduced me to the greatest people, challenged me, humbled me, and gave me opportunities I never could have imagined.

After years of performing, teaching, designing, and learning from the most incredible teachers and students, I am ready to take things to the next level. I think after immense trial and error, directing and running different programs, there’s always one thing that matters most...the people and the experience we provide for them.

I couldn’t be more excited (and honestly a little terrified in the best possible way) to finally share this.

Please help me in welcoming and the official launch of Missouri’s newest independent percussion ensemble: Apollo Performing Arts Organization!

When I was starting my career in the marching arts, I almost immediately moved away from home to learn from the most amazing people, programs, and students the activity has to offer. Now getting the chance to share my experience and bring this home to Missouri is incredibly special to me. There are so many talented young performers here who all deserve more chances to be a part of the activity, and we want to make that dream a reality.

The last month has been incredibly fulfilling getting to reunite and work side by side with some of my best friends and the amazing people that built me. The people that inspired me to be the best I can and follow my dreams. It has been absolutely magical watching these people bring this vision to life. Everyday they have been working relentlessly to help create our foundation and bring something fresh to the table. To say I am grateful to everyone so far would be a massive understatement.
