Healthcare innovation doesn’t stop at borders.

Tampa General Hospital leaders recently spent time in the UK engaging with leaders from the NHS to exchange ideas around digital transformation, new models of care, organizational culture and innovation. The visit included time at the Stratford Hospital Digital Hub and a visit to a handful of their hospitals and clinics throughout the UK with discussions focused on what our organizations can learn from one another.

The conversations also created an opportunity to share the vision for the Tampa Medical & Research District and discuss how international collaboration will continue to be part of its growth. That includes potential pathways for UK healthcare and life sciences companies looking to enter the U.S. market through a TMRD soft-landing model, along with continued knowledge sharing between organizations on both sides of the Atlantic.

As a next step, we will be exploring a memorandum of understanding with NHS organizations to create a framework for deeper collaboration.

A special thank you to the Stalis team for helping facilitate the visit, bring the right organizations and leaders together, and create opportunities for meaningful conversation throughout our time in the UK.
