Housing prices in Denver are outpacing local wages, creating a pressing need for supporters like you to join forces with us in bridging the gap for our unhoused neighbors. People experiencing homelessness need resources to help them reach their goals, obtain stability, and secure long-term housing. That’s where you come in – we’re looking for supporters like you to team up with us and lend a hand to our community. This CO Gives Day, why not be part of the solution and chip in to offer our members the support they need? #COGivesDay #givewhereyoulive #denver by @tgpdenver

🎃👻 A little Halloween magic, a whole lot of heart. 🧡

There’s nothing sweeter than seeing the excitement on a child’s face when they find the costume that makes them feel like anything is possible. Every little princess, superhero, dinosaur, and tiny witch deserves that magic. ✨

Our Halloween Costume Drive was more than costumes. It’s about community, kindness, and making sure every child gets to experience the joy of dressing up, making memories, and being exactly who they want to be for a night. 🖤

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, and showed up with so much love. It takes a village, and we’re so grateful to be part of one that cares so deeply.

Way to make a little magic, Denver. One costume, one smile, and one very special Halloween at a time. 🍬🧡

We gathered. We celebrated. We made an impact. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who made it to the Art of Hope: 40 Years of Gathering. The power of community demonstrated that night raised thousands of dollars for the women, gender diverse people, and children that access The Gathering Place for essential needs, a safe place to land, and an inclusive, supportive community. 40 years down. “Philanthropy is ‘love of humankind.’”

For one of our dedicated kitchen volunteers, The Gathering Place has been part of her family's story for more than 20 years.

Her daughter, artist Jordan Casteel, @jordanmcasteel, was first introduced to The Gathering Place as a middle school student through a community service partnership with The Logan School. For two years, she volunteered in Betsy's Cupboard, the children's center, and the front desk—an early experience that helped shape her connection to community and, in her words, influenced the humanity captured in her large-scale portraits.

Today, her mother continues that family legacy, spending five hours every Monday volunteering in our kitchen.

“Being in service ... fills my heart and soul.”

We invite you to be part of that same spirit of community at The Art of Hope: 40 Years of Gathering on September 17.

Catch a glimpse of Jordan's work, bid in the silent auction, listen to some good music, enjoy a delicious dinner, and participate in a live impact auction—all while celebrating 40 years of The Gathering Place and investing in the next 40.

Like so many in our community, The Gathering Place has been deeply impacted by the overdose crisis.

We’re committed to harm reduction, and to sharing the education, tools, and resources our community needs to respond to Denver’s rising overdose rates.

We’re proud to stand alongside the Harm Reduction Action Center and 25+ community partners working to break down stigma around drug use and overdose.

On August 31, we’ll gather on the steps of the Capitol to grieve those we’ve lost and stand with the people who love them.

We’d love to see you there. 💙 by @tgpdenver
