It was a privilege to visit the @srcs.sd and to meet with President Dr. Abdelrahman Bilal Al-Eid and members of the Board in Port Sudan.

Our exchange focused on the humanitarian situation in Sudan, the profound impact of the ongoing conflict on communities, and the indispensable role of the Sudanese Red Crescent in delivering assistance, protection, and dignity to those most affected. We also underscored the importance of strengthening support, partnerships, and solidarity across the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, so that we may respond with unity, compassion, and effectiveness to the growing humanitarian needs before us.

In moments of great hardship, our Movement must remain steadfast in its principles and united in purpose. I am deeply committed to advancing that spirit of cooperation and collective responsibility as we work together for humanity.

On the sidelines of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO) 50th General Assembly in Nouakchott, Mauritania, I had the privilege of meeting with the President of the Mauritanian Red Crescent, Mr. Boullah Chighali Mogueya, and his dedicated team.

Our discussions focused on the future of our Movement, the evolving humanitarian landscape, and the importance of strengthening collaboration among National Societies to better serve vulnerable communities around the world.

I deeply appreciate the warm hospitality extended by the Mauritanian Red Crescent and the opportunity to exchange perspectives on how we can build a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable humanitarian network.

The strength of our Federation lies in our unity, our diversity, and our shared commitment to humanity.

The strength of our Movement is not measured by the size of our National Societies, but by the depth of their impact and the trust they inspire.

It was a privilege to visit the @croixrougemc , where I met with Director General Yann BERTRAND and his dedicated team to discuss their humanitarian work and exchange perspectives on the future of our Federation. I was also pleased to present Our Roadmap to Accelerated Institutional Growth of the IFRC and listen to their valuable insights and aspirations for the IFRC we all seek to build.

Meeting staff across different departments and witnessing their work firsthand reaffirmed that humanitarian excellence is driven by committed people serving with purpose. Though one of our smaller National Societies, the Monaco Red Cross continues to make an extraordinary impact.

A particularly inspiring moment was knowing that the President of the Monaco Red Cross is also His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco. It reinforced the importance of strong, trusted, and principled partnerships between National Societies and governments, reflecting our unique auxiliary role while upholding our Fundamental Principles.

My sincere appreciation to the entire Monaco Red Cross team for their warm hospitality. I look forward to strengthening our collaboration as we build an IFRC that works for every National Society and every community we serve.

Sometimes, the most meaningful engagements are the ones that are never scheduled.

While at the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris en route to Monaco, I had the privilege of meeting Stéphane, a retired soldier, and his wife, a dedicated nurse whom are both volunteers of the @croixrougefr . Our conversation centered on the values that unite millions across the globe through the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, humanity, voluntary service, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to those in need.

Encounters like these serve as a powerful reminder that the true strength of our Movement does not reside in boardrooms or conferences alone, but in the ordinary men and women whose extraordinary acts of service bring our Fundamental Principles to life every single day.

It was an honour to acknowledge their dedication and to celebrate the volunteers who remain the heartbeat of our global humanitarian mission

Leadership cuts through the noise with one simple question: What did you actually get done? Vision matters, Culture matters, trust matters, but at the end of the day, execution is what separates talk from progress!!! Together, we can shape the future of the @ifrc we want!!! by @tharealmean

On the invitation of @southafricanredcross I was honoured to participate in the launch of the Global Climate Resilient Platform in Johannesburg South Africa hosted by the @ifrc and South African Red Cross, where I spoke on a panel on the vital role of people as catalysts of community resilience and agents of transformational change.

The event highlighted the importance of stronger collaboration, earlier investments in resilience, and sustainable approaches to addressing the challenges facing our communities. It also marked the launch of the Ubuntu Fund, a multi-stakeholder initiative aimed at strengthening community resilience across Southern Africa.

I was privileged to attend alongside my mother, H.E. Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Africa and former Chairperson of the @africanunion_official .

As an advocate of locally led resource mobilisation, I remain convinced that lasting resilience can only be achieved when communities are empowered to lead their own development journey. taken in Johannesburg, South Africa by @tharealmean

I am Deeply saddened by the passing of the former president of the @ifrc whom I had the pleasure of meeting. President Tadateru Konoe is a distinguished humanitarian leader whose dedication, humility, and service left a lasting impact on the global Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

His unwavering commitment to humanity and compassion for the most vulnerable inspired many across the world and strengthened our collective mission of service.

My heartfelt condolences go to his family, loved ones, the Japanese Red Cross Society, and the entire Red Cross and Red Crescent family.

May his soul rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire generations to come. by @tharealmean

On the sidelines of the Africa CEO Forum in Kigali Rwanda, where I was representing @downlinksolutions I had a productive and insightful visit to the headquarters of the Rwanda Red Cross in Kigali, where I had the privilege of meeting with Secretary General Mr. Apollinaire Karamaga and his dedicated team.

Our discussions provided an important opportunity to learn more about the impactful work being undertaken by the National Society, understand their challenges, and listen closely to their expectations and aspirations from the IFRC. We also exchanged perspectives on the importance of building an IFRC leadership that works with and for National Societies, placing their realities, priorities, and ambitions at the center of our collective efforts.

A major area of focus during our engagement was domestic resource mobilization. We held extensive discussions and explored practical and sustainable solutions that can strengthen the National Society’s capacity to mobilize local resources and build long-term resilience and self-sufficiency.

I was also pleased to visit ongoing projects under development, including a youth center and other commercial initiatives designed to strengthen domestic resource mobilization efforts. These initiatives represent a forward-looking approach to sustainability and financial independence.

As a Federation, we must continue to support and encourage such visionary efforts through stronger advocacy and structured financing mechanisms that empower National Societies to achieve their goals and strengthen their capacity to serve communities effectively.

A stronger Federation is one that invests in the strength, sustainability, and aspirations of its National Societies. taken in Kigali, Rwanda by @tharealmean

After joining the commemoration of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day in Nigeria, I proceeded to Accra in company of my friend and brother the Vice President of the Liberia Red Cross Society Albert ZORGBE to celebrate with the @ghanaredcrossofficial .

It was an honor to speak on the importance of solidarity, collaboration, and the urgent need for stronger domestic resource mobilization to sustain our humanitarian mission.

One thing that stood out to me was the strong presence of traditional rulers at the event. Their participation is a powerful reflection that the Ghana Red Cross is truly rooted within the communities it serves a beautiful example of localization in action.

Across borders, our shared humanity continues to unite us in service, compassion, and hope. taken in Accra, Ghana by @tharealmean
