This post makes me so genuinely happy, it is difficult to put into words.

@mattryanreal is one of my favorite actors, and after meeting him? He's one of my favorite humans! I already admired the hell out of him for his talent. The nuance with which he imbues every character that he is entrusted with is nothing short of extraordinary. He's a huge inspiration to me as an actor.

Which is why, when the opportunity to come home early for Christmas to meet him at GalaxyCon Columbus came up, my incredible husband @therealmattlatimer (who I do not deserve) made it happen. I felt guilty, because we are both huge fans, but he talked me into it, and it just might be the greatest Christmas present ever!!

Matt was genuine, sweet, funny, silly, kind, humble...he was everything I had hoped he'd be and more. I was nervous, but he made me laugh, and smile, and he put me at ease. He asked me if I knew any backwards spells, and I told him I did. It was easy to talk to him, and I'll never ever forget this experience.

I got the table photo as well as the photo op, just to make sure I got a good picture. After Gina took a few pictures, he took the camera and snapped a bunch of selfies!! It is days later, and I cannot stop smiling when I think about it!

I've been attending cons since 2009, and this was one of my best experiences ever!! Thank you @galaxyconcolumbus for the opportunity to meet one of my acting heroes. I'll never forget it!! #GalaxyCon #GalaxyConCbus #GalaxyConColumbus #Cosplay #cosplayersofinstagram #Zatanna #ZatannaZatara #ZatannaCosplay #JohnandZee #MattRyan taken in GalaxyCon Columbus by @thatalicat

The first weekend of November, I was lucky enough to have one of the most magical experiences of my life. I had the incredible honor of performing on a stage rich in history, and full of character. The FLATO Academy Theatre in Lindsay, Ontario was built in 1892, and opened in 1893. During The vaudeville circuit of the 1900s, Sammy Davis Jr. and the Marx Brothers performed there, among so many others.

When I walked into the theatre, my breath caught in my throat. It was truly breathtaking. I sat in the audience, and as they told us about the history of the theatre, tears welled up in my eyes, and my heart began to race. Theatre has always meant so much to me, and the historical significance of this theatre was immeasurable.

The next day, when I stepped on that stage as a performer, I felt completely at home. It sounds cheesy, but I was acutely aware that we were becoming a [small] part of this theatre's rich history.

Performing on that stage, a alongside some of my closest friends, and the best cast and crew, as well as countless other talented theatre companies was something that I will never forget.

To top it all off, we were awarded with the Adjudicator's Award for Physical Theatre.

As someone who always struggles with physical comedy, this show pushed me WAY out of my comfort zone. So us winning that award really meant a lot to me.

In three days, I visited a water buffalo farm, went shopping, watched some amazing one act plays, performed in a historical theatre, was nominated for four awards and took home an award for our performance, took in the sights, and just made wonderful memories together.

I was super busy when I got back, and it took me awhile to make this post, but I want to thank Jenny and Vagabond Theatre for giving me the opportunity to be a part of it.

I will never forget that experience.💖🎭

"The fat just walks away!"

My Adiposse (thanks to @crimsonherocosplay for that brilliant name!), complete with rhe newest addition from @ottawa_comiccon!😁

Every con I attend, I always have to stop by the @doctorwhosociety booth. I love that I can chat, geek out, get something fun, and help a wonderful cause! If you are a fan of @bbcdoctorwho, or if you have friends or family who are (great gift options!), I highly suggest you check them out at your next con!

I sometimes get other things too, but I usually adopt an Adipose, and these are all of the ones I've adopted over the years!! I mean how could I not? Look at them!! #AdiposeIndustries #DoctorWho #Adipose #DoctorWhoSociety #OttawaComiccon by @thatalicat

It took just over 13 years, but I finally got photo-ops with the whole SG-1 team! We met Richard at Fan Expo 2013, and Amanda and Christopher at Ottawa Comiccon 2014. Years ago we met Michael and got his autograph, but decided I wanted to wait until I did a Vala cosplay to get a photo with him. Just over 13 years from the first photo, I finally did it! He was so sweet, and I absolutely love how the photo came out!! #Stargate #StargateSG1 #ValaMalDoran by @thatalicat

Finally found the @mcfarlane_toys_official Platinum Edition Zatanna!! I pre-ordered the figure, and called so many @ebgamescan on release day to try to find the platinum with no luck. I had basically given up, when a few days after my Birthday my friends suggested checking out EBGames while we were waiting for the theatre to open. I saw a Zatanna, so I looked just in case, and IT WAS THE PLATINUM!! I couldn't be happier, I had to pick it up. Now I just have to decide if I am going to open either of them. #McFarlaneToys #ActionFigures #DCMultiverse #Zatanna #PlatinumEdition by @thatalicat

Last Monday was a blast! We finally checked out my new favorite place in Ottawa, @bossbattlegamesottawa!! As someone who grew up spending every Saturday at the arcade, this place brought back the most wonderful memories!! The owners were wonderful, and you can't beat unlimited arcade and pinball games for $20!! They have so many great games. My favorite turned out to be one I'd never even heard of, G-LOC!! It was amazing, so cool to be put in the pilot seat!! @therealmattlatimer and I had the best time, and cannot wait to go back!! Then we headed to @cineplexmovies for a double feature of @hadestown and @theodysseymovie!! #DateNight #BossBattleGames #Cineplex #Ottawa by @thatalicat
