HELIX introduces Adam.

Hello! It feels incredible to be a part of HELIX. Coming from the world of camera operation, it’s a creative outlet for my lifelong love of theme parks. I have a deep passion for the engineering behind rides, how they work, what makes them unique, and why such an unnatural thrill feels so natural to some. HELIX has given me the perfect space to explore this world, alongside the immensely talented Lily, as we hope to bring something fresh and exciting to the community we love.

Welcome to IAAPA 2026, in London.

What a pleasure it’s been to visit this conference, and to all of you that we’ve met along the way.

A special thank you to all the exhibitors allowing us to capture their latest invitations: Including @mackrides_official , @vekoma.rides.manufacturing , @efteling , @greatcoastersinternational , @rmc_coasters , @intaminofficial, @proslidetech and many others. It was a pleasure speaking with your engaging staff and seeing the passion for your craft.

Thank you to @iaapahq and @iaapaesa for having us, and look forward to more content to come. We won’t be posting about the latest updates, so many other creators do such an unbelievable job at that, but will be sharing bits captured through our lens throughout the day.

IAAPA, see you next time.✌️

The Smiler, Alton Towers, on 35mm | HELIX

Our collection of photos from yesterdays reel! Thank you for the love on these.

At HELIX, we’re always exploring ways to capture our favourite rides in challenging ways, as after all, it’s what keeps creating fun! Come behind-the-scenes with us for our most recent visit to Alton, shooting the legendary Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster, The Smiler.

All of these portraits were shot using Kodak Gold 200, creating a warm, semi-textured look which is synonymous to most as ‘The Kodak’ look. It’s also one of their most affordable stocks you can buy, which makes it a fantastic medium for you to experiment with for your own photography. We think the grain and colour matches the grungy aesthetic of The Smiler perfectly, and much of Alton Tower’s darker themes.

Which ride should we capture next? X-Sector has another special candidate…

It’s all about the process 📹

Grab a camera, have fun and make some memories. See you in the queue lines.

Wicker Man at @altontowers is one of our all time favourites, and the journey you take via the sky ride gives you absolutely incredible views of its huge wooden layout. Glad to have got this one.

What’s Next? You Decide! | Rumba Rapids

Thorpe Park fans, what do you want to see replace Rumba Rapids?

RMC, INTAMIN Blitz, Vekoma Tilt, another feature from Mack Rides?

…or even a replacement water ride!

It’s an exciting time. What’s your choice?
