Turning 33, the ‘master teacher’ of numbers apparently, an angel number at max evolution says the internet. 32 was learning how to function in a new reality post-loss, in ever-present mundane grief. how to be softened to connection in all forms, how to be right here, awake to what’s in front of me. I used to write long captions and substacks until I started feeling like it was embarrassing – but I’ve had both a tarot card reader and aura photographer tell me in recent years that I need to learn how to “really let myself be seen” (blocked throat chakra)- so! not a day goes by I don’t think about what all we’ve lost, and this is a gift I think. every day every year now - a blessing, beyond. i have people who know me at my deepest and love me for it, who know I really only like the very middle of pancakes, that i’m trying to be softer, who know I love to be invited even if I don’t always come. my dog is perfect and not from here, convinced heaven is letting me borrow her, and thank god. last august - stood at the top of half dome, turned my open palm over and watched my best friend’s ashes float 8000 feet down into the valley. didn’t journal one day of 32 - it’s all in my cells for better or worse. thank god! “lucky, lucky, so insanely lucky” I think to myself every day by @thatnatlance
