Sometimes grief looks like…
Randomly going through your car console and finding all the parking passes you kept from visiting your mom in the hospital 🥺
I don’t always know what each day looks like or what I’ll find that’ll trigger all the emotions…
What I do know is:
1. God is still good. 🙌🏽
2. Each day I show up is a win. 🎉
3. It’s ok to still cry. ❤️
Grief is truly love without a home. I listen to this song every time I need a reminder to keep going even though she’s not here. 🫂

Tia’s late mother, Valerie, absolutely loved her children. It is with great pleasure that we awarded Tia with our first “Valerie’s Gift” installment.

The amount of transitions Tia had to make didn’t just include the passing of her mom but changes physically and financially. Ahead of September and currently, Tia has served with us in the midst of her grief with grace and humility. It was an honor to plan this.

Usually I’m not this vulnerable about my experiences on my page but God is using me in a new way 😮‍💨

In this current season I’ve been working a lot on self love and self talk.

Proverbs 18:21 says “The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.” (NLT)

Sometimes you don’t realize truly how powerful your words are, especially the way you speak to yourself. This was impacting the way I lived life alone and I was miserable on the inside. As I’m learning more about God’s love for me, He’s changing my thoughts and my tongue and I feel more alive than I’ve ever felt.

I was given this idea by a friend to write some of my thoughts on the front of the notecard, the TRUTH on the back and carry them with me. I took the extra mile and got them laminated, hole punched and put them on a clip 😂🙌🏽
The word is the sword of the Spirit, and can kill ANY lie and toxic thought! So imma keep that thang on me and continue to fight this fight because IT IS ALREADY WON IN JESUS NAME! 🙏🏽
