These last few days have reminded me how much our God is the Designer of beauty. He is so intentional about the vibrancy, texture, movement, and details of His creation. And He doesn’t just do it for beauty’s sake, but to allow our hearts to yearn for the true beauty that is found in Him. So very thankful for a few days to allow Him to reorient my heart and spend precious memories with my best friend. Here’s to NE in the fall.🍁

I recently went dark in our bedroom.

After 15 years of staying neutral with every wall I’ve painted, the change feels good. And then of course, it quickly became an “if you give a mouse a cookie” situation.😆

Before I started painting, I found this chair and screen at a local Estate Sale, and the fabric had me at first glance. It’s not everyone’s style, and it’s not even very seasonally appropriate, but I think our homes should reflect things that we love. Thankfully, my husband lets me do what I want and was surprisingly okay with my picks.

*You can also enjoy the charger in our bedroom. 🙃A little real life sprinkled in there!

August is for slow Saturdays, a fading garden, and blue skies.

I used to *not* enjoy the month of August. It was an in-between of mourning summer and the anticipation of fall, but I’m learning to lean into it.

Any month can be beautiful if you have eyes to see it. I hope today you can also find the delicate balance of the in-between.🦋 by @the.beautiful.everyday

Nothing reminds me more of vintage Americana than bold graphics, Stars and Stripes, and of course, lots of red, white, and blue. I always lean towards the Classics, and this might be my favorite hutch display yet.🇺🇸
