Yesterday for the kids class we worked on the jab, distance management and head movement.

Most of the drill involved slipping every jab and or slipping then countering every jab.

Also focused on moving feet and trying to not get smothered.

We are incorporating more sparring drills to better help the kids in understanding the tools they learn and how to use them in situational boxing and or for self defense!

when I first found Boxing, it was just by a whim. I searched up a local Boxing gym by me and it was 5 minutes down the street. I didn’t expect finding boxes would change my life so drastically, but it changed me and my life more than I thought.

I spent four years working at the gym training at the gym. At some point I had to make a decision.

Is this place for me?

There was a lot I allow to happen that shouldn’t have and so much time that I wasted trying my best to be part of that team, but it just wasn’t the place for me.

I ended up injuring myself and then going two years in a depressive episode and a loss of identity.

Crawling my way back to Boxing has been the hardest thing. Having to tell myself that I can, and not letting this injury stop me was the hardest thing.

Determination and the power of God I found my way again.

I guess I’m saying all this to say you can give up once you can give up twice you can give up as many times as you want what matters as if you still want it if that feeling is not there anymore then that’s OK but if what you want, is there then you gotta take it!

So anyone wanting to do something or have a dream they want to achieve you may fall you may stumble but, keep pushing.
