Septembre! 🍂

“We are kind of awkward” she said as she walked into the photoshoot ahahahah. But honestly, I could only see and feel their joy, laughter, and excitement in every moment.

There is something so beautiful about witnessing two people standing at the beginning of such a life-changing chapter. The anticipation. The little moments. The love that is already so present before they’ve even met their baby.

I pray they never forget this season. May these images always bring them back to this moment and remind them of just how beautiful their beginning was.

Some words change everything.

‘You’re my Plan A. No Plan B.’

I never imagined I’d be someone’s only answer — but here we are, and I don’t hold that lightly.

This beautiful bride was one of the first to place that kind of faith in me, and she will forever hold a special place in this story. So one month postpartum, I laced up, showed up, and gave everything I had. Because that’s what you do when someone believes in you that deeply.

We did it. And it was everything.

As a witness to the pain they endure, let me share a little of what I’ve learned. I’ve learned the importance of sitting in the pain — the right way. But also that joy can be a decision.

So many of us have been waiting on joy to appear as the fleeting emotion it can be. But Scripture says, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” (Matt 5:3-4)

In the midst of their trials, they recognized that they had a place to go — and Someone to trust it all with. Joy was born there, quietly, in the dark, long before these pictures were ever taken.

Yes, I have seen these two walk with heavy shoulders. But I have also seen them walk with joyful, intentional feet — coming to church, praising the Lord, choosing fellowship when everything around them felt like weight. Caring for other people’s children — my children — while still in the waiting.

I fear this isn’t talked about enough. For those with a proper understanding of the gospel, we know that suffering is indeed part of our journey with the Lord. But let’s talk a little bit more about how it is possible to choose joy — to rejoice in the middle of the furnace — even if it simply means just showing up. The evidence is there.

Happy Mother’s Day to all. 🤍

Have you ever considered adding a bridesmaids' first look to your wedding day? This was a first for me, and what a beautiful first it was. Genuine womanhood gathered in a room is a joy to witness and document. These moments are barely a few minutes long but what they reveal — the love, the laughter, the tears that no one planned — lingers long after the day is done.

As my schedule begins to open up again after maternity leave, I just want to thank you all for the messages and calls I’ve been receiving from people I’ve met here, in this small community we’ve built together.

This entrepreneurial journey has felt scary at times, but you guys continue to remind me that the connections we’ve made go far beyond ISO and apertures, lol. Truly, thank you.

Mother’s Day, one of my favorite holidays, is just around the corner. If you’d like to honor and celebrate your mom, aunt, sister, or a dear friend, don’t hesitate to reach out. I would love to help you gift her not just photos, but a timeless heirloom for generations to come.

The red is for the fires that she has gone through and conquered. The evidence of God's goodness can't all be contained, but here are some photographs to show you that it all starts with the breath in your lungs. It was surely for her.

More than bridesmaids, but a true sisterhood.
