First trekking poles when one of mine broke the other day I was sitting on side of the trail with my prosthetics off , sitting there trying to Come up with a way to temp fix my pole , two sobos come down the trail and of corse asked how I became a amputee after telling the story they asked what’s up with my pole told them it broke when thru it down to get down a rock scramble out of no where the guy takes off his pack pulls his poles out and says here take these I never use them anyways and would not take no for a answer

Green mountain house hostel would not take my money for the first two days I was there , them guys are so amazing and such a great hostel

Hot mess express - met me at a road crossing with hot coffee , fruit and just a awesome conversation

Brain and Brenda - these two have gone above and beyond the term trail angles , I met Brenda my first day out of rutland on trail she was doing a section hike first she picked me up at hostel triver took me to Lincon gap then slacked me to Appalachian gap when I was done she picked me up took me to there house fed me dinner , washed clothes then Breakfast the next morning before taking me back to Appalachian gap , that’s not was sitting in waterbury about to pay almost 200 a night for a zero day but no she msg me and say don’t pay that you are more than welcome to come back here for some rest days then we will take u back to trail which I getting back on today. by @the.long.trail

Know where that's from? I don't know why but that's what came to mind looking at this shot. It was so peaceful up there, we had the summit to ourselves the whole time. Probably because no one else was dumb enough to hike in 100 degree muggy weather #worthit
