Download ![β¨π§ββοΈβ¨ Havenβt posted in a while, and wanted to start posting some of the πΈ photos πΈ from my πͺ¦π disabled account. ππͺ¦ RIP π₯²π₯²π₯² I still hope that Iβll get it back one day but my hope is waning since now itβs been over three months. π
Why Iβm back here is hard to say, but here we are. With a photo taken by @mountainmetis with one of my favourite songs. Yes, taken in the winter βοΈ, posting in July βοΈ, oh well! Some photos are moody and timeless.

This was one of the first flower crowns I made. Not that I make them regularly; I really only make them when I am gripped by the compulsive desire to realize a concept and/or capture a moment in my life via a photoshoot.
A few years ago, I was gripped with the compulsion to somehow capture golden hour: both the golden hour of the day, but also the seasons. This year has been especially rainy: the September rain really gave all my flowers a second life, and they are blossoming just as much, if not more than they did in July and August. However, with the zero degree weather, they are all about to whither with the frost.
(π΅: By the way, this song choice is due to the fact that this is song is still by FAR the most-requested among young children I encounter - my students request to sing this/kids at shows want to hear it all the time!)
Sunflowers remind me of the balance of the year: they are prominent during Mabon aka the Fall Equinox aka the beginning of Libra season (not-so-coincidentally represented by balancing scales βοΈ). They have brilliant yellow petals on faces like the sun juxtaposed by a dark, black centre that attracts butterflies, bees, birds, and of course, humans once they go to seed. Sunflowers grow tall like they strive to reach the sun, but unlike Icarus, they will never get too close because the tallest sunflowers have the deepest roots. They spread their joy and optimism broadly and with abundance; to me, sunflowers represent the confident, shining strength to be who you are, even when there is darkness and colder days coming (and already present).
Five years ago, I picked a yellow shirt for my theatre headshot. βThat was a mistake,β I thought. βWHEN do I EVER wear yellow?!β πππ

One of the (many) highlights of this past weekend was being able to dance a set for @wardski_music !! Dude you slayed so hard! π΅π΅π΅ Sorry for the weird cut of this @noisia_official tune; I just had to put down the silk fans for a bit because I felt this track was asking someone to RAGE to it for a while sans props!! π₯
πͺ©: Scheduling yourself to dance while also running an event is not necessarily something Iβd recommend, although it kind of just worked out that way with the four platforms going at the end of the night. We had aerialists, pole, two gogo stages π± It was wild! I am so proud of everyone!
I really am truly grateful to all the artists - djs, dancers, technicians - for sharing their skills and presence this past weekend. To all the folks who showed up, you are loved and appreciated π«Ά And to the folks who werenβt there - you were missed and I canβt wait to see you next time! βοΈπβ¨
