Custom Bed Build 💚

This was such a fun and challenging project to take on for some very lovely clients! 11’ scalloped headboard with an extra cushy frame that was absolutely designed perfectly for this space.

The Lake Cres Project gave us the opportunity to create a collection of truly unique custom pieces throughout this beautiful home. Every detail was designed to feel distinctive, intentional, and perfectly suited to the space.

It’s honestly a little scary how obsessed we are with the way it all turned out.

A little one-on-one with the visionary behind our Lake Crescent project @the.underline

This project was anything but ordinary. It featured a collection of distinctive pieces, each defined by its own shape, contours and carefully selected materials.

With that level of originality came plenty of challenges—but none greater than bringing the massive curved bar to life.

I grew up in my Oma’s sewing room.

That’s probably where my obsession with textiles started. Before I knew anything about interiors, I knew fabric. I knew craftsmanship. I knew that the smallest details could completely change how something felt.

Years later I became a designer, but nothing really changed. I was still chasing that same feeling- that a home should make you exhale the second you walk in, finding beauty and peace within the details.

I’ve always loved sleep. I love sinking into a bed that makes the rest of the world disappear for eight hours. I’ve never understood why we spend so much time designing our homes and so little time thinking about the place we spend a third of our lives.

So I designed the pillows I wanted.

Really good freaking pillows.

I’m not interested in gatekeeping good sleep. If I’ve figured out how to make getting into bed the best part of the day, why would I keep that to myself?

That’s HAUS. by @the.underline
