I was invited to photograph and document a basketball tournament in western Uganda, where teams from different refugee settlements came together to compete. What unfolded was far more than sport.
Basketball became a space for connection, resilience, healing, and belonging—bringing people together across different backgrounds and experiences. A reminder of how powerful sport can be for community, mental health, confidence, and creating opportunities beyond the game itself.

Some of the most meaningful relationships while travelling are the smallest ones. Not the ones planned, but the ones built through everyday routines. A familiar face, a smile, a "good morning" on the way to work, a "good night" on the way home. A short conversation while waiting for breakfast or dinner.
Street vendors and street food are so much more than convenience—they are part of the rhythm of daily life. They create countless little encounters that quietly become part of your day, and before you realise it, part of your memories.
This man became my Rolex and Kikomando maker in Kyaka II. Day after day, our conversations grew a little longer, our smiles a little warmer. Thank you for every meal, every laugh, and every small moment of kindness. It was a pleasure to have met you.

A throwback to one of my very first photography projects—the one that set everything in motion. I wandered across the City of London, moving from one council housing estate to another, drawn to shapes, surfaces, materials, angles, and geometry. A fascination with Brutalism that I know I share with many of you.
This project became a turning point, guiding me from fine art into architecture, and ultimately shaping the path that brought me to where I am today. As a piece of documentary work and visual research, it holds a very special place in my heart.
