At some point, as a business owner, you have to stop being afraid of making decisions that protect the business. Not every policy is going to make everyone happy. Not every patient is going to love your boundaries. And that’s okay.

I spent years learning some of these lessons the hard way. I know what it feels like to own a practice, have the overhead, make payroll, worry about the schedule and wonder why the numbers aren’t adding up. So when I get passionate about this stuff, it’s because I’ve lived it.

We have to stop operating our practices from a place of fear. Fear of the bad review. Fear of losing the patient. Fear of saying no. Fear of actually enforcing the policies we put in place.

You can provide an incredible patient experience AND have boundaries. You can lead with empathy AND protect your team. You can care deeply about your patients AND run a profitable business.

Those things are not mutually exclusive.

Day 2 of @the4ssummit in Kansas City was all about one thing: turning opportunity into profitability!

Too often, practices think growth comes from more leads. But the biggest opportunities are usually already inside your business. They’re found in stronger treatment plans, better consultations, smarter financial decisions, more confident teams, and a patient experience that keeps people coming back.

It was an incredible day sharing the stage with my co-founders, @saltzplasticsurgery and @izhak_musli, along with an outstanding lineup of speakers who challenged practice owners to think differently about leadership, financial intelligence, branding, technology, treatment planning, KPIs, and building a practice that’s designed for long-term success, not just short-term growth.

During my sessions, we focused on one of the biggest missed opportunities in aesthetics: helping patients confidently say “yes.” We broke down how to build treatment plans that patients understand and value, how to overcome objections without feeling like you’re selling, and why the follow-up process is often where practices lose revenue they should have captured.

Day 1 of @the4ssummit in Kansas City is officially in the books, and what an incredible day of learning, collaboration, and honest conversations about what it really takes to build a profitable aesthetics practice! @izhak_musli @saltzplasticsurgery

Today wasn’t about chasing more leads or the latest marketing trend. It was about building stronger businesses from the inside out. We talked about the changing landscape of aesthetics, why sales is no longer optional, how recruiting, compensation, and accountability shape culture and performance, and the systems every practice needs to improve conversion, profitability, and long-term growth.

This afternoon, we rolled up our sleeves and got tactical… breaking down the patient journey from the very first phone call through consultation, lead management, follow-up, and conversion. Because the reality is, every missed phone call, delayed follow-up, and inconsistent patient experience is lost revenue hiding in plain sight.
