Category: Legs — Quads Focused
Program: Sissy Squat
Load: 60kg

If quad growth is the assignment, this one deserves a seat at the table. 😮‍💨

Sissy squats are BRUTAL, but the way they load the quads? 🤌🏽
60kg today because apparently I enjoy suffering. 😂 by @the_active_muse

This was me struggling with 180kg a while back.

I remember thinking, “There’s no way people make this look easy.”

Every rep felt like a fight. I had to psych myself up before getting under the bar, convince myself I could do it, and hope my glutes remembered they had a job to do. 😂

Fast forward to now, and I’m hip thrusting 200kg with way less drama.

The funny thing about progress is you rarely notice it while it’s happening. Then one day you look back at old videos and think, “Wait… that used to be hard?” by @the_active_muse

A common gym myth is that women who lift weights will become bulky or look masculine.
In reality, most women do not produce enough of the hormone testosterone to build large amounts of muscle naturally. Instead, strength training typically helps women to:
Build a toned and defined physique
Increase strength and endurance
Improve bone density and reduce the risk of osteoporosis. by @the_active_muse

Softness and strength were never opposites.

At this point, creating this page was inevitable. 😅

A huge part of my life revolves around fitness, wellness and trying to become a healthier version of myself.

I talk about it.
I spend money on it.
I think about it.
I complain about leg day.
Then I do it all over again.

So I decided to create a space dedicated to that side of me.

No pressure.
No perfection.

Just the journey, as it happens.

Welcome to The Active Muse. 🤍 by @the_active_muse
