Bunkr Signs EP
New release from @bunkr303

A companion piece to the album Signals.

Bunkr says: ‘Where Signals explored the mysteries, memories and hidden histories of the Surrey hills, Signs follows those signals towards the distant glow of the city beyond.’

It is, of course, magnificent - go and listen now!

Bot V04
3 colour Lino print.
This robot head has come to signal the start of various adventures.
It marked the start of the Chunkives and my first screen print. Since then it’s been a giclee print, 3D print and then almost 2 years to the day my first Lino print!
You can see it’s Lino evolution here in the other images.

It seemed fitting then to print a new version to herald the launch of @samandmikeart - a new greetings card and art print business I’ve set up with my @magictorchltd partner in crime @chippertron!

I’ll be in Jubilee square (Brighton) tomorrow as part of the amazing @beaueventsbrighton with our first batch of cards and prints as well as this - and many more - Lino and Chunkives prints.

Do come and say hello!

I don’t know.
New print!
Named after the @ulrikaspacek song, whose awesome psych grooves definitely worked their way into this image.
This is something of a further exploration of the ideas that came from my recent @bunkr303 Signals cover.
Drawing inspiration from the landscapes of my childhood but breaking them down into primitive shapes until the hills are just a misty echo in the distance.
Printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308 gsm paper by the brilliant @exhibitprinting

House
3 colour Lino print.
Based on a photo I took in @bodiestatehistoricpark in 2011.
This genuine ghost town in California is an absolute gold mine - it’s got one of those as well! - of inspiration with so many buildings and their interiors frozen in time.
This might be the start of a Bodie series of prints - provided I don’t get too distracted by some other idea!

Printed, as always, with my @pookipresses

Wild 2
3 colour Lino print.
Revisiting old prints (again!)
It’s interesting, as my technique - slowly - improves i’m endlessly tempted to return to previous prints, tweaking and honing in my quest to get onto paper what I see in my head!

The Game of Love Pt2
When I first posted this I was happy enough with it. I was trying something new and I needed to get it out of my head.
But there was something niggling me about it. Nothing major so I ignored it as, like many people, I’m never 100% convinced that a piece is truly finished.
I needed to move on.
But that niggle persisted.
So I went back to it. Made some tweaks, identified what was annoying me - the place where the pyramids meet the eye if anyone is interested.
It was such a small adjustment but I’m happy. For now! But happy enough to make it a print.

It’s interesting, I don’t normally revisit old work but I’m glad I did.
Does anyone else do this?

Waffle ends.
