Devin Paschall’s life was rooted in music, love, and purpose. A gifted musician and proud graduate of LaVilla, Douglas Anderson, and Florida A&M, Devin inspired others through his artistry and mentorship. His motto, “Love on your people,” reflected the warmth and generosity he shared with everyone.

The Devin Paschall Music Memorial Scholarship honors his legacy by supporting students who dream, create, and uplift others through their gifts - continuing his belief that music and love can make a difference.

Last night, Devin, received the greatest miracle, he was promoted to be with God. My heart is broken, but I find peace knowing he is now resting in Heaven, surrounded by love.

Devin had a deep love for music and you know he was always in his studio playing his piano, creating melodies that reflected the beauty of his soul. He lived with passion, purpose, and one simple motto: “Love on your people.”

Please keep our family lifted in prayer as we grieve this tremendous loss. We’ll share details about services soon. Thank you for surrounding us with your love and support. by @the_girlfactor

My heart is broken.

You were my collaborator, my mentor, and my friend. For the past four years, you were a constant in my life. You taught me more than just piano--you taught me to feel the music, to trust my voice, and to believe in my own story.

You are on all my songs and celebrated every little breakthrough. You showed up, always. You were quiet, kind, and brilliant. You always knew how to make the music feel like magic.

You were, without question, the most gifted piano player we've ever known-an actual genius who carried your brilliance with such quiet grace. You never asked for the spotlight, but you lit up every room you were in.

There is no end to how much I will miss you. We all will.

Thank you for your beautiful music, Devin, and for the love you gave so freely. You changed my life, and I promise that you'll always be in every song I play. by @the_girlfactor

A few weekends ago, I had the chance to see @dylanchanceofficial dance to Brightest Light at the Stafford Centre.

She wrote this song for Devin, but getting to tell their story through dance made it feel completely different. He believed in her, encouraged her and helped her find so much of who she is as a musician.

There are so many moments I wish he could be here for; I wish he could have seen this one.

But somehow, when she is singing his song-or this time, dancing to it, it feels like a little piece of him is still here with us.

Today, my heart is filled with so much joy, pride, and gratitude as I reflect on the opportunity to award a scholarship in memory of my beloved son, Devin Paschall. 🎶💙

There are no words to fully express what it means to see Devin’s love for music continue to make an impact in the life of another young person. This is the first receipient of the Devin Paschall Music Memorial Scholarship, and it is definitely NOT the last! 🙏🏽

Devin believed in the power of music, the importance of nurturing talent, and the impact we can have when we “Love on Your People.” Through this scholarship, his legacy will continue to inspire, encourage, and provide opportunities for students pursuing their passion for music.

While I wish Devin were here to witness this moment, I know he would be incredibly proud. His life, his music, and his love continue to live on through the lives we touch. 🎹

Devin, your legacy is growing. Your music is still being heard. And your love continues to make a difference. ❤️

No fancy clothes. No tropical backdrop. Just us, enjoying each other after 32 years of marriage.

I've learned that love isn't about the perfect setting, it's about the person you're sharing life with. And I love us just the way we are.

Not a single day has passed that I haven't thought of you. One year has gone by, but my love for you has only grown deeper. I wish I could hear your voice one more time, or one more hug.

They always said you were a fast runner. I believed you were fast, but I never imagined you would beat me to Heaven.

Until the day God reunites us, I'll keep loving you, honoring you, and carrying your light with me. Your kindness, your smile, your music, and your love continue to live on in all of us. You will forever be my son, my heart, and one of God's greatest gifts to me.

Today I heard exactly what I needed to hear:

"You can't say you believe in heaven and then be upset when a loved one goes there."

June 19, 2025, Juneteenth, was the day Devin left this earth and entered the presence of the Lord. While I miss him every day: his voice, his smile, his laughter, and his music, I find comfort in knowing he is free, whole, and with Jesus.

Juneteenth celebrates freedom, and for me, it will always be the day Devin received the ultimate freedom. Missing him and rejoicing for him can exist in the same heart.
