A few days ago we had to say goodbye to our most loyal and sweet companion, Maggie May (aka Maggers, Magzilla, Magerstein, Magzula (the Dog Rula), Francois Delacroix…Margaret, if you’re nasty).

We never get enough time with our beloved pets, but the time we do get is unmatched and wonderful. We were blessed to have her in our lives for nearly 14 years and we wanted 14 more. While our world is dimmer now that she is no longer shining in it, we are forever thankful for the time we did have with her.

She was the funniest and sassiest dog. Her side eye and eye rolls were legendary. Her lack of patience was that of a 90 year old woman. She knew when her social battery was in the negatives and would remove herself, quite hilariously, from gatherings.

While she may have been “aloof”, she was always so affectionate and kind. She loved her people fiercely. And when Bowie came into our lives, the patience she showed him was unmatched (iykyk). He loved her to the ends of the earth (and she loved him…even though she wouldn’t admit it).

We are going to miss her forever but we are better for it because of the joy she brought into our lives. We can only hope her and her bff Hilde found another stick to share and are playing an endless game of “I bite your neck, you bite mine” while Quincy tries to awkwardly join them.

Give your doggies a boop and a kiss in her honor ❤️

2026 can fuck right off. RIP Cheetah Chrome. “Never put your amp to 10 “ by @the_josh

About 21+ years ago I was on tour with Thursday, we were in Denver and ETID was playing a different show down the street.
Andy stopped by in the afternoon in need of a guitar repair. I installed a new pick up and new nut on his late 70’s Les Paul Custom. I told him the glue not be dried in time for his show, so I gave him one of Tom’s guitars to have as a back up. (This was the first time I have ever replaced a nut on a guitar. I knew how, I just had never done it prior) He played the show, brought back Tom’s guitar and thanked me. He then handed me this guitar. “First Act is making me a signature model, and they sent me this to use in the meantime. I can’t play this, but I know you like semi hollow rock n roll guitars. Thanks for helping me out”. Today I played this guitar and cried. Andy was one of the kindest, raddest, and all around best humans I have ever had the fortune of calling friend. Love ya bud. 💔 by @the_josh

I’ve spent the past few weeks putting this one together, and it’s probably one of the more personal articles I’ve written.

It starts with my own story of growing up in a music store my family owned and follows that experience into what we’re seeing today: the slow death of the physical music store and what we’ve lost along the way.

A huge thank you to @alexskolnick of @testamentofficial and @the_josh, an incredible tech who works with @killswitchengage, @socialdistortion, and many others, for taking the time to share their perspectives and contribute quotes to this piece.

This one means a lot to me. Give it a read over at High Caliber Magazine and let me know what you think.

And while you’re there, if you haven’t had a chance yet, check out my recent interview with @lekmyballzberg. It’s a longer read, but one I’m really proud of and definitely worth sitting down with.

Last batch of fiddles have left the building, and I’m heading to the land of our friendly neighbors to the north for some heavy metal hijinks. Thanks to @elvis_ronhubbard @julianbrash @sadaboutgirlsnj and @palmyradelran for trusting me with their rock n roll machines. They always have the coolest guitars and it’s always a pleasure to work on them. Potted some pickups, fixed some frets, swapped a pickup, set ups, and foiled a spoiler. Ol’ Drac will be back in the Bat Cave at the end of August, and will be ready to sink his teeth into whatever your guitar needs may be. by @the_josh

More tom foolery in the studio. If we can stop f-ing around long enough, we’ll drop these songs for ya! by @the_josh

The world has lost one of the greats. I wouldn’t be who I am without this band. Rest in power Lou. SOIA forever. by @the_josh

$Again, I’m horrible with remembering to take pics of the stuff I’m working on, but here’s the latest batch of fun fiddles that were on the bench. These were the last call before I ship out for tour. Thanks to @elvis_ronhubbard @palmyradelran and Tom for trusting me with your awesome rock n roll machines. And @peter_mari always with the metal machines. Maybe I’ll remember to document more stuff from the workbox. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ by @the_josh$
