At the Good Vibrations workshop, we explored how loving ourselves also means understanding our bodies, embracing our pleasure, knowing our rights, and having the confidence to advocate for ourselves.

But we must also acknowledge that culture, social norms, and gender expectations do not give everyone the same freedom to claim this agency. Some people are taught to silence their needs, feel shame about their bodies, or place everyone else’s needs before their own.

Creating space for conversations about pleasure is therefore more than personal empowerment. It is about challenging the norms that limit bodily autonomy, ensuring that all genders have the knowledge, freedom, and confidence to make decisions about their bodies and pleasure without shame or discrimination.

Because Loving Yourself is not just about knowing your worth; it is about having the agency to honour it. by @the_pleasureproject

Count the fluids. Count the infections. Count the cond0ms. Then what? 🤔

Seggsal health is built on a heterocis transmission model, and lesbians, trans folks, s*x workers and k!nky people keep falling off the (spread)sheets or getting pathologized.

On 14 October we're handing the mic to the people who are shaping, from the ground up, a more generous understanding of safer s*x built on real people's needs and desires: @ANOmalie, @kinkycollective and @lovemattersafrica. We're asking our guests and ourselves how can erotic explicit media reach places public health cannot go to? What can the SRHR world learn from the k!nky playbook? And how can we work together in the face of authoritarian regimes sweeping across the world?

World Contraception Day was 26 September. Yes, we're late. But hey, the field has been late to people's sex lives for decades.

Our systematic review found that sex life concerns are an incredibly common reason for stopping contraception while still needing it. They're as common as cost or access, and far less studied. 64 studies, 125,000+ participants, one clear message: desexualized contraception is bad science!

Full review, open access, via the link in bio.

What do you think about the role of pleasure in contraception? Share your thoughts below!

"What does intimacy look like, feel like, move like, when we think about it in terms of crip time? Crip time allows us to listen to our body and honor its pace." - Nu

We sat down with Nu to talk about disability justice, digital intimacy, and access and honestly? We're still thinking about this line.

Nu has spent years building communities of care and collective joy for queer and disabled folks, and if this quote hit you the way it hit us, wait until you hear the rest.

The full conversation is live soon. Stay tuned. 👀

It's been 365 days. We're not going to pretend otherwise. 😅

Last #WorldSexualHealthMonth, we launched Through the Eyes of a Pleasure Activist, a series about the humans doing the deeply necessary work of putting pleasure back into sexual health, advocating for antiableist, queer, feminist, decolonial and anticapitalist approaches to the sector, and of questioning the very categories of 'health' and 'sexuality' and the work they do together. And then....well, we got busy saving the world in other ways.
Sorry / not sorry 😘

We're back with Episode 02, and it was worth the wait.

Meet Nu (they/them) - trans/non-binary disabled person advocating for pleasure and the founder of Revival Disability India @revivaldisabilityindia
Swipe to meet them properly - their story, their politics, and their passions.
The full interview drops soon. Follow so you don't miss it. 🔥

Hey @nigel_farage !,

Thanks so much for your post about me this evening ☺️.

I think you may have accidentally missed the point.

But I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt.

Let me explain it for you:

For every $1 spent on sex education, when information on pleasure is incorporated into the education programme it sees a return of $23.

Isn’t that brill?!

‘Pleasure based or pleasure inclusive SRHR’ refers to sexual and reproductive health and rights programming that addresses pleasure, satisfaction, consent and agency alongside - not instead of - risk reduction and disease prevention.

It’s not about spending tax payers money abroad as you will have seen from the answers I received from the Secretary of State where they clearly state they “…have not yet engaged with WHO on the topic of pleasure based sexual and reproductive health as published by the British Medical Journal”.

I know you appear to be a fan of twisting truths but I suspect you’d hate to feel a little silly and get this one so wrong.

As you know, The BMJ is an esteemed and well respected publication.

The full article can be seen here:

My written parliamentary questions can be seen here by everyone:

(The one you’re probably referring to was answered on 8th September, if you want to scroll down to check.)

You will also see the many other questions I have asked on behalf of my constituents, charities and organisations I am working with.

I’ve done 404 written parliamentary questions so far in my two years as an MP. I notice you’ve done 20.

Let me know if you’d like to talk through my and @cindygallop campaign for lifelong sex education.

We want to take the shame, guilt, and embarrassment out of talking about sex and have happier, healthier, and safer humans who are better connected.

Let me know if you’d like to get involved.

Much love.

Samantha.

On September 4th, the World Association for Sexual Health @wasworldsexualhealth marks #WorldSexualHealthDay2026 with the theme EVERY BODY - a global call for dignity, autonomy and justice in sexual health.

We're standing with WAS on this but we're adding one word: PLEASURE ❤️‍🔥

Every body already holds pleasure and erotic imagination - that was never in question. What's been unevenly distributed is power over safety, resources, information, and who gets to be seen as someone who desires. Pleasure isn't something to be included in from the outside. It's something every body already carries.

#EroticJustice it's about who holds the keys, not about opening the door wider 🚪🗝️

Share this with someone who works in SRHR and tell us in the comments: what does pleasure on your own terms look like to you?
