Our snotty punk song about passive aggressive vapers at festivals (not all are, just some! )
First live performance of this two minute clatter racket. Thanks to Elle M for filming it ❤️👁️❤️

Lyrics here -

Vaping (Carcinogenic Cuck)

Verse

I smell smoke
There's no fire
Cotton candy burning wires
There's a plume that rose
Got right up my nose
So do it in your designated zone

Chorus

Cuz you're vaping, you're vaping, and you're raiding my personal space
Gettin in my face

~

Carcinogenic cuck!
Carcinogenic!

Verse
From this high horse I take my stance
You're guffing out a cloud of inconvenience
There's an ill wind that blows such ignorance
So could you huff and puff down stream perchance?
I ain't a Karen in saying it ain't fine
But you compromise cutting off my air supply
And I don't mind if you roll your own
Do it in your designated zone

Tag cloud ~

We at Retinal Circus believe it to be of grave importance that you all learn about our common and obscure geometric friends around us.
Such things can be overlooked. So, we provided this gentle infomercial for all of your geometry needs in everyday life.

The simian karaoke!
A rather splendid time was had at Artlandish this weekend, we played the Sunday and were surprised by a street dancing couple during Quiver. So after undergoing the patient process of redaction we present a segment of that number.

There's also zines from the zine workshop that was ran over the weekend. One of which (by Elysia,) featured a photo of this very set taken by her during a song with a toy camera. So that's in here.
The second one is by Eryn and a lovely one off Retinal Circus zine!
Zine workshop was run by Aoife and Omar many thanks 🦉🍄

Footage provided by our manager, @pollypankova
Zine #1:by @eryn_lawley
ZINE #2 by @elysia_makes which includes a photo taken during our set
@aoife.lucy - lady Zine facilitator, and apes chorus
@omar_majeed_poet Zine workshop maestro
@realsirreal a real "sound guy"

Many thanks to all the other apes chorus and Artlandish for having us

Fuzz Duo on Friday 13th👇

We were overwhelmed at having the opportunity to be rocking in a street full of adoring humans at @worcsmusicfest
2024!
We had a vague idea it might work as a duo. Beforehand Craigus was worrying about the amp having that edge of break up gain he is fond of, but when it came to it that wasn't something to be worried about cuz it was goddamn loud, and then some. 😂
We got to play some reincarnation blues, some surf Klezmer, some clattery circus horobop ska, some art rock, some motorik psych, some anarcho punk..
And people came, people stayed, people drank, people boogied, people moshed, there was much joy.
Later, an articulated lorry trying to drive past a drum kit. But that's another story.

It's being a week, but still feels like a fever dream and have a faint ringing of elation in the ear lugs still.
Really really appreciative to those who came out for Fuzz duo homecoming. Retinal Circus was birthed in Worcester in 2008, after many incarnations it became fuzz duo which debuted way back in 2019 in Circle Of Swords of all places.
We certainly like circles, and Concentric Rings. 😉

We love you, Worcester!!
Always will!
A huge thanks to Jake, Theone, & Spin The Black Circle for hosting.
Massive thanks to the festival which has being running for a long time now and raised money for a manifold of good causes.

Oh and thanks to Jason for the 3D printed kittie. Can't say fairer than that.

~~❤️👁️❤️~~

Retinal Circus will return soon, probably. There's some footage that will surface soon proper.
Can't wait to see it!!

(that's not us on the audio BTW but seems to fit nicely 😂)
