It’s been two days and it still doesn’t feel real.

It’s hard for anyone to win at Pans, and me for competing on the final day of pans after a week of working on the medical staff was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. When I stepped on the mat I was at 64 hours of work for the week. I was so tired. I kept thinking “This is a mistake. I can’t believe I did this to myself” My training camp was filled with ankle injuries, and I got sick twice. I didn’t sleep well the whole week of Pans. I’ve lost in the first round every major for the last 4 years. It felt like everything was going against me.

When I woke up Sunday I decided “No one is beating me today. I don’t care how hard I have to fight or how tired I am, today I am fighting to win.”

I submitted the first opponent with a knee bar. Then in the final, I couldn’t get my opponent down. I started to panic because I didn’t want a decision, so I dug deep and found the back and take down. I wrestled my booty off and came away with the win.

It was an incredible experience and testament to the gracious love of God. He who began a great work in me has continued to bestow blessings upon my life that are my wildest dreams.

Thats a wrap on IBJJF Pans No-Gi 2026!

I’m grateful for the opportunity to work at the highest level of the sport. The jiu jitsu community is such an inspiration with incredible people from all over the world. For someone who has struggled to fit in and my presence feel welcomed, this community feels like home. ❤️

Huge shout out to @briansmithatc and @morphed_sportspt for their hard work this week! We definitely got after it.

I promised myself at Master Worlds 2025, that I wouldn’t fight at Super Heavyweight again. I told myself I didn’t care what it took, how I had to eat and train I wasn’t coming back at 190lbs again.

One huge accomplishment of 2026 was consistently making 74kg or 163lbs the whole season. I found out I’m still a little too small for this division, so Inshallah this year I will continue to drop and get stronger.

I’m so proud of this work though, and seeing these progress pictures.

Huge thank you to @ajnutri_ my nutritionist who was a huge part of the success this season. I’m excited to continue our progress.

I know I can’t get this moment back, but I sure wish we could turn back the clocks and give it another run. I really felt like this was my year to accomplish this goal that’s consumed me for the last few years.

I haven’t been able to watch the film because I’m afraid it’s going to show what I already fear is true. That this is delusional, and I’m just not that good. Pans was a fluke, and I am a poser.

I’m going to have to dig a little deeper this year, train a little harder, and find another level of discipline to grind out another year of growth.

What a privilege to have a goals on and off the mat and people surrounding you who truly believe in you.

What a weekend in Las Vegas. 🏆

We couldn’t be more proud of everyone who stepped onto the mats this past weekend at the 2026 IBJJF World Master Championship and Jiu-Jitsu Con Kids Gi & No-Gi Championships.

These aren’t small local tournaments. World Master brought together nearly 3,000 competitors from more than 1,200 academies, while Jiu-Jitsu Con brought thousands of athletes, coaches, families, and members of the Jiu-Jitsu community from around the world to Las Vegas.

And our people stepped onto those mats. ❤️

🥇 ELISABETH — WORLD CHAMPION

Elisabeth captured gold at the IBJJF World Master Championship in Master 3, earning the title of World Champion.

Elisabeth cross-trains with us at Yōsai, and we have had the privilege of watching the work she puts in every time she steps onto the mats. Following her World Championship victory, she was promoted from purple belt to brown belt.

An incredible accomplishment and a very well-earned promotion. Congratulations, Elisabeth! 🌎🏆

Chelsea will always hold a special place in the Yōsai family.

She was one of our students who also cross-trained with our sister school, Fayetteville Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and we’ve been fortunate to be a part of her journey as she continued to push herself at the highest levels of the sport.

Chelsea took on something very few competitors ever do: competing in all four IBJJF Grand Slam events — Europeans, Pans, Brasileiros, and Worlds.

Along the way, she became an IBJJF Pan Champion, earning gold at the 2026 Pan Championship as a brown belt. 🥇🏆

But beyond the medals and tournaments, we’re proud of the person and teammate we’ve gotten to know.

We’ll always support Chelsea and cheer her on wherever her life and Jiu-Jitsu journey take her.

We’re proud of you, Chelsea. Keep chasing your dreams.

🥇🥇 ELIJAH — GI & NO-GI DOUBLE GOLD

At only 6 years old, and one of the youngest competitors in his age group, Elijah had an unbelievable weekend.

He competed at Jiu-Jitsu Con Kids No-Gi and took GOLD.

Then he came back and did it again in the Gi.

Two tournaments. Two gold medals. Gi & No-Gi Champion.

I promised myself I wouldn’t come back as a super heavy weight so I’m beyond proud of myself for the work I put in to lose about 30lbs last year. That’s a huge win. The rest is gonna come. by @the_rolling_physio

Grand Slam 2026 🥈🥇🥉🥉

First off…
I’m incredibly proud and insanely grateful for my 2026 Gi Season. I literally got the opportunity to travel the world and compete in jiu jitsu. I completed an entire season without major injury which has never happened for me since I started competing in 2022. I competed an entire season and a much lower weight than I’ve lived the majority of my adult life. Most importantly I put together an incredible year of personal and professional growth with IBJJF. Jiu jitsu has opened so many doors I never dreamed of, and given me the confidence to step boldly through them and into a new version of myself.

HERE COMES THE BUT
I am disappointed I didn’t achieve the goals of this season: to capture grand slam all gold, and master worlds title. I am definitely getting closer. My last year self wouldn’t recognize us today. And I was able to come this far in one year, if I can grind it out another year, maybe it will turn out better than expected.

I know my journey is about way more than winning titles, but damn it Yall I want the shiny gold. This weekend I told Professor Omar that I was fully submitted to the will of God with this goal as well, knowing his timing is never wrong.

2027🚀 and I guess No-Gi 2026🙃🙃

Thank you to my team back at @fayettevillebjj @yosaijiujitsu for all your love and support. I hold the years in arkansas close my heart and if not for my friends there I would have quit a long time ago.

Thank you @ismaelsantosbjj for all of the hours we put in this year to achieve this goal. I am just sorry I wasn’t able to get the Gold back to Yosai. I cant thank you enough for all your love and suppost. My life is greatly improved thanks to you. Helping me get healthy and lose weight, encouraging and supporting me to travel to the majors while teaching me Portuguese…you’re truly one of a kind.

Thank you to my professor @bebetooliveira_bjj who got up at 6am in the winter to train lessons with me and for always encouraging me to chase my dreams and goals! This was a great year and I appreciate your time and energy. by @the_rolling_physio
