Okay, it’s time to properly introduce myself and everything I’ve built, because if you’re new here you might be wondering what exactly I do.

Hi, I’m Kemishia Minta. Some people call me Olori.

I’m a wife, a mom of three, and the founder behind Social Tea and The Seremoni Edit.

I’m half Nigerian and half Trinidadian, raised by an immigrant mother who taught me that faith is real, excellence is the standard, and if you want something built, you build it.

In 2019, I started Social Tea as a women’s empowerment community. Since then, we’ve curated over 500 events nationally centered on connection and women winning together.

What started as gatherings grew into a full ecosystem.

Today, I own and operate two venues in Downtown Houston in the fourth largest city in the United States.
I plan and design weddings.
I produce corporate and social events.
I curate conferences and community experiences.

Everything you see here is connected. I build intentional rooms where milestones are celebrated, brands are activated, and people feel something when they walk in.

If you are looking for a venue, a planner, a producer, or someone who can take your vision and execute it at a high level, you are in the right place.

Follow along and join me on this journey. I would truly love to meet you too.

I keep hearing that section culture in Houston is dying, and maybe that’s why Matcha at Midnight makes so much sense right now.

People still want somewhere to go at night. We still want music, food, people around us and a reason to get out of the house. We just also want to leave feeling like the night gave us something.

That’s really what Matcha at Midnight is.

Do you think Houston is ready for more late-night spaces that are social but still productive?

She drove from Austin to Houston just to come to Matcha at Midnight.

So when I asked how she heard about us, her answer stopped me.

I had spoken at her conference in Austin, and she told me she knew she had to come support.

That’s the part people don’t always see.

You can speak in one room, plant a seed, and months later that same connection shows up for something you created in another city.

And she didn’t just say, “I’ve been meaning to come.”

She got in the car and came.

So Houston… I have one question:

If she drove from Austin, what exactly is your excuse? 😂

And while we’re here, tell me what side of Houston you’re coming from.

Katy? Pearland? Sugar Land? Cypress? Downtown? The Heights?

Drop your area in the comments. I want to see who’s really outside with us at midnight. 🍵

Coffee shops close, but entrepreneurs DON’T! ✨

No Matcha this week.

We’re taking one Thursday off so next week can be the one the Hair Girls actually needed. 🍵

Matcha at Midnight is back Thursday, October 15 and this time we’re calling out the hairstylists, braiders, wig makers, K-tip girls, colorists, salon owners, and beauty creatives.

Not for a class.
Not for a panel.
Just a room full of women who get it.

Bring your laptop, your client list, your content ideas, your tired feet, your business questions, your hair sister, or the girl you keep meaning to collab with.

Everyone is welcome, but the Hair Girls are the focus this week.

We’re also opening vendor applications for anyone who wants to sell beauty products, hair products, accessories, treats, or anything that makes sense for the Matcha community.

Tag your hair sister and tell her to come outside.

It’s Q4. We’re not letting “I need to create content” live on the to-do list for another 3 months 😭

Content = inquiries. Inquiries = bookings. And THAT is why I created Content Lab.

October 6, we’re giving you multiple sets by @Decor2Remember and you choose how you want to create:

Come create on your own, add guided content so you have someone helping you capture it, or add professional photography with @PeoplesPaparazzi, @Emagenation or @Anthropology.

Bring the outfits. Bring the products. Bring that folder of 47 saved Reels you swore you were going to recreate 😂

We’ll have the sets + the people ready.

What’s your biggest Q4 business goal? 👀
