This time it's a Green glimmer for Claire's @no12_garden_house October Garden Glimmers ✨💚🥒💚✨

My plot neighbour gave us this lovely big cucumber, a jar of homemade plum jam and a jar of pickled cucumbers 😁💚 The pickled cucumbers didn't last long, us girls stood in the kitchen, a fork each 👌😂🤤🤤🤤🤤

It was so delicious that we used her cucumber plus some more to make our own supply, using the same recipe!! 🤤🥒🤤 Thank you so much Stacey 💚

For the fellow cucumber / gherkin/ pickle lovers, it's Riverford, cucumber pickle 👌👌 let me know if you'd like the link or if you try it!

Happy Thursday All, not long until the weekend 🎉💚💚

A Tiny glimmer for Claire's @no12_garden_house October Garden Glimmers ✨🤍🕷️🤍✨

I noticed this little spider on one of my dahlias and it definitely qualifies as tiny, I think it's a crab spider, correct me if I'm wrong? 🕷️

It's super eye catching and we've seen it a few times now, maybe it needs a proper name?....🤔😆🕷️🤍✨

🍏🍎❤️🍎🍏

Anyone for apples??? 😁😁🍏🍎🍏🍎🍏🍎

My apple tree hasn't really produced many fruits this year but it's leaves are lush and green so it's all good! 💚

But we haven't missed out because my lovely friend requested (ordered 😆) that I take the rest of her apples, so of course, we did! Thank you Stacey 😘 We also took some from the abandoned plots apple tree and ended up with this lot which we shared with family! ❤️💚🍎🍏

So far, we've made apple crumble with hobnobs in the topping, apple crumble biscuits and an apple pie with a cinnamon swirly crust ( I say we but it's mostly the work of my private chefs 😆❤️💚😁😁) and for now I've frozen the rest 🍏🍎

And we've also been given apple jam and apple syrup made with said apples. The apple jam we've had with cheese and crumpets and is just divine 🤤🤤❤️

Currently living the apple dream 😆😁😁🍎🍏❤️💚

❤️❤️💚💚😁😁🍏🍏🍎🤤😁😁🤤🍎🍏🍏😁😁💚💚❤️❤️

🌞☔❤️☔🌞

I'm sure that was the fastest bank holiday weekend ever?!?!!!

Most of it was spent clearing out and doing tip runs but I did have a lovely saturday with my wonderful Mum at Sarah Ravens Perch Hill Garden

We got completely soaked in the downpours then enjoyed the glorious sunshine that followed 😆☔🌞

The garden is just beautiful and exploding with colour, so many stunning plants and flowers. Lunch was absolutely delicious, all made from garden produce, that beetroot tart, OMG 🤤🤤🤤🤤

Hope you all had a good BH weekend 😀

🥒🍈💚🍈🥒

A nice little handful of some more cucamelons and our first mini munch 🥒

My eldest loves cucumber and declared that this is the best cucumber she's ever eaten 🙌🙌😋💚 Hopefully we'll get lots more!

Our lovely neighbour gave us the cucamelon plants, thank you Caroline 💚

We've never grown them before, I dont think they taste at all like melon and not as nice as cucumber but they're ok, eldest enjoyed them which is good as there's loads more on the plant. The youngest didn't like them but I think we'll be growing them again 😂😂

What does everyone else think of cucamelon??? 💚

😂😋🥒🍈💚😋😋🍈🥒💚💚💚💚🥒🍈😋😋💚🍈🥒😋😂

💛 This is my entry for Garden Glimmers ✨ @no12_garden_house

I've had these dahlias a couple of years now, my youngest saw the tubers outside someone's house on the way home from school, they had a 'Free' sign on them (we like those 😆) so she brought a couple home ☺️

They are prolific, flowering over and over but this year they've surprised us with added extras...

One stem had two buds back to back and another stem had three buds on, swipe to see how they looked!!!

Absolutely gorgeous, I've not had this before on any of my dahlias, has anyone else? 🩷

Definitely a joyful garden glimmer moment ✨💛😍😍

🧡 This is my Garden Helper entry @daliabotanique

This little cutie has been helping us in the garden this year☺️ Always bobbing about when we're out there, eating all the juicy worms, checking on my work and shouting at us when the bird food has run out 🪱🪱😆

They also brought their mate with them for a spell, it was so lovely to watch them together, they must have made their nest very close by because they were back and forth for food and bits of alpaca wool (we have a little supply for the birds for their nests)

I love robins they always remind me of my Oma and Opa... but then doesn't everyone just love a robin?? 🧡🧡🧡

💚❤️🪱😆💚💚❤️🪱🪱🧡🧡🧡🧡🪱🪱❤️💚💚😆🪱💚❤️

🤍 This is my entry for Prettiest Pot @lauras_little_cottage_garden

This has been one of my favourite pots again this year, these are 'Rusty Chestnut' gladiolus from @farmergracy and they are absolute beauties!!

When choosing these, I thought they would be a more muted tone than I would normally go for but they are really stunning. This year they are super vibrant, the 3rd picture is from last year so they're definitely brighter! 🩷
