The 2027 AASECT Annual Conference is heading to Detroit, June 24–27 to celebrate 60 years of learning, growth, and professional community. This year’s theme, Weaving Lineage: Sixty Years of Pedagogy, Pleasure, and Practice invites sexuality professionals to help shape this milestone conference by submitting an abstract or serving as a proposal reviewer.

The Call for Abstracts and Reviewers is open through Nov. 6. Share your work and help shape the 2027 conference program.

Another year of JEDI scholarships available from @theaasect 🎉

grateful for all the hard work and commitment of our leadership to redistribution! Over $20,000 in initiatives to support underrepresented sexuality professionals. You don’t have to be a member to apply.

this year’s opportunities:

Supervision Scholarships
5 scholarships of $2,000 will be awarded.
Sexuality Educator Certification Application Fee & AASECT Membership Scholarships
4 scholarships of the $300 certification application fee and 1 year of AASECT Membership ($220) will be awarded.
Sexuality Educator AASECT Membership Fee Scholarships
5 scholarships of $220 each will be awarded.
Microgrants for Community Sex Educators
4 microgrants of $1,000 each will be awarded.
Puerto Rican Sexuality Professional Scholarships
5 scholarships for 2 years of AASECT Membership ($220/year) or AASECT Certification or renewal fees ($50 - $300 each).

A beautiful farewell to Puerto Rico. 🇵🇷

Our AASECT members closed this gathering with connection, gratitude, and a delicious piña colada tasting—one more sweet reminder of the warmth, culture, and joy this island shared with us.

What an experience we had with Maribella and the beautiful Bomba experience. 🇵🇷
