Celebrated Pecan Squares. They’re “celebrated” because the recipe comes from chef and owner Chris Nadolny of @celebratedfood. If you’ve lived in Maplewood long enough, you remember the restaurant - and your favorite crazy salad combo. Or maybe you’ve had Chris cater an event for you (good call).

Chris is famous for not writing down recipes. After all, he’s a chef not a baker. But he scribbled this one down and we’re so grateful he did. Available in Maplewood and South Orange.

Boo! Julie-Os are back in black for the month of October. They’re filled with vanilla cream (the orange is just for fun), made with non-hydrogenated shortening. The cookies are made with butter, but you probably knew we’d say that.

It’s #teambuttertuesday Say hey to Isaac. He’s a barista in Maplewood. He of the ever-present sunny disposition and winning smile. He makes fabulous drinks, thrives in a crazy Saturday rush, and never turns down a haul of trash out to the dumpster. One thing he doesn’t do is early mornings - or didn’t until a week or two ago. Can’t wait to ask him how he liked being up with the birds and bakers. But even if 5am isn’t his cup of tea - or salted maple latte - rest assured he’s crushing it at the bar in the afternoons.
