Prague ➡️ Marseille ➡️ Paris, where I perfected the trifecta of carb loading, runner’s high and friend hangs - not necessarily in that order.

#TLDR The raw files of a PR in rainy Copenhagen. I doubted the first 3 miles, deployed the training the next 7, and destroyed the pace the last 3.

After two years and two failed attempts, I finally shattered the sub-90 half marathon barrier.
⁣
Big shoutout to @nicole__quilliam who dialed in my plan to perfection, @moore_aleigh8 and @dcao09 for rebuilding me brick by brick and keeping me aligned (literally and mentally), and @balancerunning - my chosen family — for never letting me slack, for making support a non-negotiable and holding me up when I felt like crumbling. A very special thank to team @cancerresearchinstitute for letting me run for a cause bigger than my own goals.

Photo dump from Round 2 down under 🇦🇺 🐨🦘

Apparently a 20 hours flight to the other side of the world to run 42.2K once wasn’t enough, so I came back for another crack — only this time Sydney’s a Major. Look at her go.

Naturally, I still made time for the important stuff: smashing flat whites, watching an AFL game with absolutely no idea of what was happening, driving on the Great Ocean Road, feeding a few roos and generally having a “bloody good time”.

Somewhere between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean something clicked. No regrets. Slight tan. Slow living isn’t a vibe — it’s the only way.

A 1:29 half marathon through Lisbon’s sun, fueled by pastéis de nata still warm from the oven and bacalhau.

The Basque Country was never on the radar and now it’s permanently on the list — Bilbao’s pintxo bars and San Sebastian’s acclaimed Txuleta and Txokali hit different.

Barcelona closed it out the way only Gaudí’s beautiful chaos can, a finish line I had the good sense not to run, and miles with my brothers @louis.mendes1 and @maximusmmc

Dedicating this #GlobalRunningDay post to Amos, the realest pace pusher -four paws, endless energy, and zero excuses.

From chill jogs to sprint sessions, this dog stays locked in. No motivational speeches needed — just leash up and go. Rain or shine, muddy trail or city sidewalk, we’re out here clocking miles and keeping pace.

Running with this one keeps the routine real. No flaking, no shortcuts, just that steady grind (and some bush sniffing and squirrel chasing). It’s lowkey the best accountability system: if I don’t lace up, I’m getting the side-eye all day 😂

Shoutout to @balancerunning for keeping us inspired — the runners, walkers, weekend warriors, and their furry sidekicks who make this space feel welcoming. Whether it’s race day or just a random park loop, we’re all just here doing what we do.

The @nycmarathon : the ultimate hype reel—“Concrete jungle where dreams are made of” vibes all the way.

From Brooklyn’s party energy to the nonstop “big lights” in Manhattan, the crowds were pure serotonin boosts, and I legit couldn’t have finished this race without them.

By the time I hit the not-so-scenic Queensboro Bridge, I was feeling all the ups and downs, but honestly, that’s the magic. New York really said, “You got this,” and somehow, I did: 3:18:05 and my third start.

A very special thanks to @balancerunning and all the friends on/off the course that keep supporting this journey through the World Marathon Majors. I couldn’t do this without you.

Can confirm: still obsessed with the pain and glory of long-distance running.
