The film is rooted in Azerbaijani culture, directed by the Armenian director Sergei Parajanov

I was left thinking of Afghan tribal jewelry with the bold silver pieces, coins, beads, and geometric designs. Yet Afghan styles often lean more toward lapis lazuli, carnelian, turquoise, and elaborate headpieces.

Visually, there’s a shared Silk Road spirit, though each culture leaves its own unique mark.

In the end, I was reflecting on how much connects us and how beautiful it is to celebrate those connections.
