36 Days of Type - The Collection✨ Swipe to see them all & tell which are your favorites! Click more πŸ‘‡πŸ» ⁣ ⁣ ❀️ Anddd we're done! For this year's 36 Days of Type, I chose just 7 colors & a word/phrase to inspire each letter/number. I've truly never enjoyed creating art as much as I did for this challenge. ❀️ A few thoughts- ⁣ - I really enjoyed using a limited palette even though I thought I'd hate it πŸ˜‚ -I wish I'd picked more contrasting colors to make the background checkerboard as I feel that effect is semi lost in the final grid -I stuck to the word for each concept too hard sometimes (like D, E, Y..) & wish I'd chosen a more generic word like "dramatic" vs trying to make it look like a dream for example -I learned to do (& love) bevels & impossible letters! ⁣ -The community aspect of this challenge is incredible & I'm so grateful for how many amazing artists I've connected with! ⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣-I cannot make a post without sparkles and/or glitter πŸ˜‚ ⁣ ❀️ I'd say that I can't wait till next year but that's an understatement. In fact, I'm planning another series coming very soon! If you're interested in joining me, comment below! You don't have to do all 36, just pop in when the mood hits! @justkatiedesigns is joining me & I'm so excited!! ⁣ ⁣ ❀️ Thank you so much to the @36daysoftype team for putting on such an amazing project! And a huge thank you to every single person that commented, liked, & shared my series, as well as everyone who's put up with me rambling about it πŸ˜…πŸ™ˆβ£ ⁣ ❀️ I hope you're not too sick of seeing letters & numbers yet because I've got more coming your way soon! ⁣ πŸ‘½AuroraπŸ‘½ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ @36daysoftype #36daysoftype_all #36days_all #36dot #36daysoftype10 #36days_featured #36daysoftype #36dot #36days_10⁣ ⁣ ❀️⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣#typedesign #typographyinspired #typography #behance #dribbble #typematters #thedailytype #goodtype #typespire #typism #3Dart #trippyart #psychedelicart #opticalillusion #36days_a #isometricart #geometricart #typographicdesign #graphicdesign #typegang #customtype by @thealienaurora

βœ¨πŸ‘½ Big, big news, please click πŸ‘‡πŸ» ⁣ ⁣ ✨ For the last 2.5+ years, this page has been the homebase for my creative process. From my very first art piece, discovering my love for lettering and typography through many rounds of the 36 Days of Type, even dabbling in motion design, this page has seen it all.⁣ ✨ When I started posters, I considered making a new page because of how different that content was going to be. I didn't because I wasn't sure if it was just a phase. But like my emo era in high school, it was in fact, not just a phase πŸ˜‚ It's truly something I love more and more with every poster I create.⁣ ✨ After a lot of thinking (and over thinking tbh), I finally decided to make a space to reflect where I am, and who I am as a creative. A new home for the work I’m so excited to be making.⁣ ✨ This is NOT a goodbye β€” I’m never deleting this page and I'm not disappearing (can't get rid of me that easily πŸ˜‚) Daily posts will continue, but starting tomorrow, you'll find them on @hiaurorasky I'd really love to have you there. ⁣ ✨Thank you for being part of this space, I wouldn't be here without every one of you. Thank you for staying with me as I've evolved, shifted, and grown, not only as a creative, but as an alien (uh, human). I hope to see you on planet @HiAuroraSky πŸ‘½ Oh the alien? I was so inspired when I saw this ultra cute VW Beatle image and knew I had to use it in a poster. I wanted to create a carefree, nostalgic, vibe of a spontaneous summer road trip! πŸŒ—Did you catch the solar eclipse? Swipe to zoom πŸ” What do you think of this eclipse poster? πŸ‘‡πŸ»β£ ⁣ ✨ Today, March 29th, a partial solar eclipse was visible for much of North America and Europe! Personally, I was sleeping to be totally honest with you and did not catch it hahaha But I still wanted to create a poster to honor this event! ⁣ ✨ I wanted to play into the light and dark aspect of an eclipse by splitting my canvas between black and white. A sleek, minimalist look with subtle grids and textures felt like the perfect way to go for this poster and overall, I'm really happy with how it came out!⁣ ✨ Let me know what you think πŸ‘‡πŸ» and if you caught the eclipse, I'd love to see any pictures you got!! 😍⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣. . .⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ .⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ .⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ .⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ .⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ .⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ #minimalistart #retrofuturism #scifiposter #graphikradar #graphiclounge #graphicjuice #collectgraphics #grungedesign #dopedesign #photoshopartist #eyeondesign #graphicindex #designfeed #posterdesign #itsnicethat #digitalarchive #youaretypography #365posterchallenge #printisnotdead #archivesarea #365designchallenge #womenoftype #showusyourtype #postereveryday #posteraday #spaceart #galaxyart #cosmicart #astronomy⁣ by @thealienaurora

πŸ¦‹ Never Lose Hope! Swipe to zoom & see colors! What do you think of this butterfly poster? πŸ‘‡πŸ»β£ ⁣ ✨ "Never lose hope, the butterfly is proof that beauty can emerge from something completely falling apart." This quote was a request from @designsandpassion who absolutely loves this message! I’ll admit β€” when I first saw how many words it had, I felt a little intimidated! But it turned out to be such a rewarding challenge. I really enjoyed experimenting with how to layout the type in a way that felt balanced within the quote itself but also still featuring the butterfly. ⁣ ✨ I wanted the "never lose hope" portion to stand out as I feel like that is such an important reminder, whether you're dealing with some complicated life situations, or just trying to figure out a good poster composition πŸ˜‰ I thought subtle scratched, faded textures would be perfect to tie into the falling apart concept, and of course, all the colors haha ⁣ ✨ What do you think of this butterfly poster? It's an Experience ℒ️ Swipe & zoom πŸ”Ž Have you ever been to a Waffle House? πŸ˜… πŸ‘‡πŸ» ⁣ ⁣ ✨ It really isn't just a diner, it's a full on Experience πŸ˜… If you haven’t heard the lore, or had the experience of visiting a Waffle House, imagine a 24-hour diner where the food’s hot, the vibes are unpredictable, and the entertainment is free β€” whether it’s spontaneous karaoke or fights that break the laws of both physics and common sense, the chaos is legendary. Bonus points if the cook is also the referee. 🍳πŸ₯Š And while this may sound like something out of a fever dream, trust me.. I've witnessed it first hand 😎 ⁣ ⁣ ✨ I had a lot of fun leaning into the chaos with this one β€” textures, bold type, and a little bit of unhinged energy. Have you ever been to a Waffle House? Swipe for details & colors! What do you think of this typewriter poster? πŸ‘‡πŸ» ⁣ ⁣ ✨ Today's poster was inspired by the iconic 1971 song by Gil Scott-Heron, β€œThe Revolution Will Not Be Televised." These lyrics critiqued the way mainstream media distorts, even ignores the realities of social movements. The song is a reminder that true change happens in the streets, in conversations, through collective action.⁣ ✨ This version, "The Revolution Will Not Be Monospaced" refers to monospaced fonts, where each character uses the same amount of horizontal space, aka the ones on typewriters! ⁣ ✨ I wasn't able to find the original source of this quote, but as soon as I stumbled on it (on page 527 of Google πŸ’€) I knew it was perfect for a poster! It's both a nod to the limits of old tech, as well as a powerful reminder that revolution requires boldness and creativity, and can't be confined.⁣ ✨ What do you think of this poster, and this message? As Above, So Below ✨ Swipe to invert & zoom πŸ”Ž What do you think about this experimental poster? πŸ‘‡πŸ»β£ ⁣ ✨ Today I tackled another style on my list to try - experimental design! This style really intimidates me because I'm a huge fan of grids, rules and alignment, aka the polar opposite of experimental style. But I love the way these pieces look, so I had to give it a try.⁣ ✨ I knew I wanted to play heavily with distortion effects, and this phrase had just the right amount of mysterious intrigue to fit the vibe. I also decided to stick with a black and white palette to really bring the focus to the design. Instead of heavy textures, light grunge effects combined with printer scan and sacred geometry diagram details brought the whole look together!⁣ ✨ What do you think of this distortion experiment?
