GAY BOOK CLUBS WORST READ OF THE YEAR
POSTS STORIES REELS
Monti & Andrew would like to officially (re) introduce ourselves! Monti is a director and producer of new works in Philadelphia and co-artistic director of Theatre By Development. Drawn to the absurd and wacky, he strives to create safe and empathetic spaces to build and explore new works that challenge preconceived notions about what theatre can be and the stories we can tell. Most recent work includes producing Testing Site by Daniel Burgess in Cannonball 2023 and POOT by Andrew Miqueli in Solowfest which he also directed, as well as producing the Philadelphia premier of Untitled Raccoon Play by SMJ in Philly Theater Week. He is incredibly excited for TBD’s first season and cannot wait to share these shows with you! . All promotional materials created by Amir-Gabriel Gad. by @theatrebydevelopment
Monti & Andrew are officially excited to announce... THEATRE BY DEVELOPMENT ! THEATRE BY DEVELOPMENT comes from a need to constantly create and consume the art we want to be experiencing. With the insatiable hunger to create and collaborate, it felt like a natural progression to provide a platform for other artists, produce more work, and officialize our partnership! TBD gives a voice to the unsung stories of underrepresented artists, elevating their works to larger platforms. Our first season includes THREE new works with our inaugural production kicking off in MAY! Check out the link in our bio for loads more of information . He received a BFA in Directing, Playwriting & Production from the University of the Arts. Andrew is a collaborator who actively strives to make theater more cinematic and cinema more theatrical. One last chance! some snippets of sounds created by our Sound Designer Alex Werthauer! ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Time & gravity are a large part of returned, iridescent — we consider them additional characters in the play! In Rose’s script notes, three slashes /// denotes a forward shift in time: sometimes hours, sometimes days, sometimes years. Alex brings these time shifts to life by seamlessly incorporating pedestrian noise & every sounds to these transitional moments; like phone and alarm rings, city traffic, club music, and more! Be sure to catch returned, iridescent to see Alex’s sonic soundscape at work!
