It’s time for some punctuation education 🤭

Semicolons and colons are used sparingly in fiction, but they both have an important role to play when used correctly.

Have questions? Feel free to dm me.

Current editing availability 🗓️

If you’ve been thinking about booking an editor for early 2027, now’s the time!

Please note that I am incredibly flexible once a spot is booked in. However, if I am booked out before your spot is secured, I may not be able to fit you in.

Send me a dm or use the enquiry form in my bio if you’d like a sample edit 🫶🏻

I got such a lovely surprise in the mail yesterday 🥰
Being able to do what I love is already such a blessing, but then to receive book mail aswell?!
The wonderful @elle.j.brae.author sent me a SPECIAL EDITION version of Under All Illusions which I had the pleasure of editing, and its S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

This sort of gesture is never expected, but my heart melts when I get packages like this, and it definitely helps to chase off those pesky self-doubt demons.
Elle - thank you, I appreciate this sooooo much 💗

IMPORTANT!

The time has come to increase my editing rates. I’ve sat on this decision for quite some time as self-doubt always creeps in, and I’m always anxious about making changes.
BUT with my growing experience, portfolio, and training, a rate increase is due.

You’ll find my new rates on the last slide, which come into effect from August 1st. The new rates do not apply to current bookings.

I’m also making some changes to my services. I will no longer be offering standalone, flat-fee beta reads. This service takes a considerable amount of time, but I cannot justify charging the price I would need to charge to make it worthwhile. This does not apply to current clients who I have beta read for previously.
I’m also introducing blurb editing! A $25 flat fee to help you make sure your blurb is memorable and does a fantastic job at showing your book and its personality in so few words.

As always, I appreciate and love all my authors, and I sincerely hope you’ll stick with me through this change 🫶🏻

Please send me a dm if you have any questions or concerns!
