These slides gives a brief synopsis of our perspectives and experiences, countering the dishonest characterizations and blatant lies that have been spread as a result of conflict. The text from each slide is in the photo’s caption. Image descriptions are also listed in this document along with our full, more detailed statements: tinyurl.com/WARNING4CCCHI Text: Community Warning. Statements by a number of community members harmed by Reaux C. Cameron’s TL;DR R is deeply manipulative, a liar, an abuser, and a terrible person. They have abused me and many others in the community and they should be ostracized and known as such. Read and believe the statements of Ry, Mai, and Jinx. Let’s all work to keep the community safe and not allow R to continue to cause harm to people. Talk to trusted friends and community members if you feel unsafe or unsure about someone. We have a duty to protect each other. Cameron/Cam they/them Reaux’s former long term partner and collaborator Maimuna’s TL;DR My former roommate R and I quickly became close friends, but conflict escalated when they decided their partner (of one month at the time), Taj Levi, would move in with us for 6 months. I initially said “yes”, tentatively, but said “no” a few days after because of the many reasons I elaborate on in my statement. R told me it was too late and tickets were already bought. After repeatedly saying “no” to both R and Taj Levi, I said I would have to go to the landlord. R retaliated by contacting the landlord first behind my back to renew the lease without me, refused to pay their part of utilities, gave me the silent treatment, posted about me publicly calling me a liar/abuser, poured flour on my belongings, and repeatedly turned the heat off in the coldest months of the winter. Maimuna/Muna/M they/He/moons Reaux’s former roommate, Collaborator, and friend Maimuna’s TL;DR Continued I have a severe neurological condition (seizures, paralysis etc.) and felt unsafe, so I moved out in February. R and Taj Levi also moved out, but left me with a $655 gas bill (they’d cranked the heat to 78°F) and thousands in debt from the move and subsequent ER visits. My health progressively deterio by @theaxiscircle

The photo is a portrait of young maimuna, his grandma, and another smiling Black child. The text says: Lisa Muhammad 1946-2026 The matriarch of my family passed away yesterday. I had to get an emergency flight to be there with her in her last moments. Support with travel costs URGENTLY needed to get back to Chicago and pay rent. Please come thru as I grieve this incredibly powerful woman who raised me. GOAL: 2k V + CA: Munshyne DM for Zelle by @theaxiscircle

Happy Black History Month! thank you so much for all the support with my layered recovery + survival so far. I posted a fuller update on my FundRazr campaign FundRazr.com/RysRoad2Rec (also linked on my profile) but here’s a high-line summary: * I’m 3 months post-op! No physical complications from surgery, but still dealing with increased cognitive symptoms. * Waiting to hear back about scheduling for my next surgery. * Still flaring with all my other conditions and spending the little bit of energy I have trying to manage my healthcare and barely take care of myself. * Been having my time and limited resources wasted by numerous nonprofits I was referred to for help + resources. 🙄 (eye roll) * Having to delay my return to one of my treatment programs due to financial stress. I started doing smaller commitments as my capacity allows, such as accessibility consulting, moderating artist talk backs, wardrobe consulting, and production design. Please reach out to discuss any of these or other services I could possibly offer for pay or bartering. 👀 (side eye) Are there any services you’re curious about but shy to reach out? Answer in the poll below. 👇🏽 (light brown finger pointing down emoji) also on a side note i been wanting to do a Black Care Lineages highlight so i’m finally kicking it off for Black History Month. 🫣 (hidden face emoji) I’m adding at least one resource every day all month. check out the story highlight on my page for more! let’s see if i actually keep up with this one. 🌚 (moon emoji looking into the distance while grinning) image descriptions embedded and in the comments below by @theaxiscircle

Job opportunity in Chicago for people with acquired or progressive physical disabilities!! We are JUST the messenger!! To be fully transparent, we are not affiliated with UIC, Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, or the mENTER Research Project. One of our co-stewards came across this position on @dcal_saic’s page and reached out to the contact person (the email address on the graphic, NOT DCAL) to ask a bunch of questions and figured it may be helpful to share with others, especially since they mentioned that they are looking for more applicants!! We know, first hand, how difficult it can be to find work that meets our needs as disabled people in this violently capitalist society. Again, we are just the messengers, and we know how harmful and ableist academia, research, and even occupational therapists are capable of being. We’re just hopeful that this opportunity can be a tool to help someone amongst our people make it another day. 🫶🏽 (light brown skinned hands forming a heart emoji) ALSO, additional info not mentioned in the graphic or the job description: the first 3 weeks are expected to include two half days of training per week, all in person. after then, most of the work is remote! image descriptions embedded and in the comments! by @theaxiscircle
