This picture should speak VOLUMES to all of us. A brother who was injured on the same job that caused one of his brothers to perish, rushed back to the scene from Duke hospital to be there as Fireman Brokes’ body was removed from the building. We are all a family regardless if you like the next guy or not. Be the brother, love eachother and understand this could be a reality you find yourself in. God Bless Fireman Brokes, god bless his family and friends and god bless the brothers who were injured and those who pulled Fireman Brokes from the rubble. Rest Easy Andrew we will take it from here. by @thebackstep_

More than proud of the Knightdale Fire Department Academy Class 6 for the hard work, grit, dedication and passion that they showed during their academy. This academy was lead by the most passionate men I know LT Weese and Capt Miller who worked long hours and gave all of their knowledge to the future of our department. In the words of my brother @send_me_culture “One day your level of preparation will meet someone’s worst day and you better be ready” welcome to the family to each of you! by @thebackstep_

From a class in Athens GA to best friends traveling the country teaching the mentality of becoming a thinking fireman together. I’m forever in debt to these guys. Such a wealth of knowledge and experience that is unmatched. Thank you guys for all that you do not only for our company @backstepfiretraining but for the growth of me as a man and fireman. by @thebackstep_
