Say it once. Then help them follow through.

Repeating “sit, sit, SIT” teaches your dog that the first cue doesn’t really matter. Clear communication means giving the command once, then guiding or helping your dog be successful.

And yes, even young puppies can learn this. Keep it simple, stay consistent, and give them a chance to think.

🇺🇸 While the neighborhood celebrates, Poppy is learning one of life’s most valuable skills: staying calm.

Kids riding bikes and scooters, people walking by, wiffle balls flying, random fireworks in the distance and she’s taking it all in without a worry. These positive, controlled experiences help build the confident, stable temperament every family hopes for.

The best recall isn’t built in a quiet room it’s built when distractions are everywhere. 🐾

If your puppy will come when called in the middle of play, you’ve built a skill that could one day save their life.

That’s why we practice recall in real-world situations, even when another Golden Retriever, toys, or excitement are competing for their attention.

It’s one of the many life skills we focus on in our 2 and 4 week training programs, because confidence and reliability are built one successful repetition at a time.

It’s built through clear structure, guidance, and repetition.
