5 longgg months of preparation—composing, writing, researching, planning, strategizing, blocking, developing, producing, rehearsing, and so much more—had led to our many shows for @abcotalesretold ANG TATLONG PERLAS, ISANG ORIHINAL NA MUSIKAL. (with music & lyrics co-composed + co-written by yours truly 😉).

BUKAS NA ANG HULING ARAW.

presents 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚, a series of conceptual self-portraits—inspired by @agnesobel's 2014 song "The Curse" and based on the inner conceptions of one BLAD—submitted for my final output in my Photography class this past semester for A.Y. 2024-2025.

This is my first ever photography series and I am incredibly proud of myself for making it possible after encountering so many hardships during the planning and shooting processes. Times are hard for dreamers, but they won't be hard for me!

A very, very special thanks to @marklopez.ph + @stpnmmlls + @colleenuwu + @mayapuelan + @agnesobel, all of whom I owe my grandest gratitude and motivation for this project.

2ND NIR PRISAA - MARCH 9, 2025. FIRST RUNNER UP in Vocal Duet: @thebladproject + @khngrczy — Contestant #4: USLS.

Funnest of facts: I am a born and raised Fil-Am who can't speak or understand Tagalog fluently, who only had 5.5 months to prepare for this.

Funner of the funnest facts: WE WON (SILVER). As I knew we would. But I don't intend to sound boastful. I failed again and again and again and again and again & still rose each time. I manifested our win by trying + asking God to fight for us. And it happened. After all, on my part, this victory was 15 years in the making. Every talent show, every event, every theatre play/musical, every karaoke session, every spontaneous moment bursting into song, every vocal training practice, and every uplifting and grueling rehearsal led up to Hannah and I's first ever win in our first ever inter-school competition.

The highest note I could belt with my chest voice went from G4 to B4. The highest note in my falsetto/head voice went ALL THE WAY up to C6 from idek. At the beninging, I was really struggling with the high notes of "Laban Pa". But now? I've got some beautiful belting in store for y'all. I put all of my heart, mind, and soul into those 5 mins on that Coli stage. I fought for myself and everyone who has ever believed in me.

Once again, I am a born and raised Fil-Am who can’t speak or understand Tagalog fluently, who only had 5.5 months to prepare for this... and we achieved SILVER as first-timers. I am now and forever a vocal athlete. But the journey has only just begun. There's still work to do and passion to fight for!!!!

HANNAH + BLAD's version of KZ + JAY-R's "LABAN PA" is now on YouTube & Facebook!! ✊

it’s about time for a pfp change! there are a buncha captions i thought of, and i couldn’t decide on just one, so here are all of them 🫶:

🌟 “currently there’s a brownout in my living quarters and i wish i had one of those light sticks rn” (brownout is still ongoing at the time of posting this)

🌟 “EVEN IF I’M NOT THE LIGHT, I CAN BE THE SPARK.”

🌟 “Watt’s the deal? It’s electrifying!”

🌟 Something about this pic really brightens up my eyes. Pun aside; despite being a random selfie from a CSU shoot (which i have yet to post about lol 😭🫶), it beautifully represents my powerful, undying optimism and hope for the uncertain future ahead, displaying my vital need and surefire ability to be my own beacon of light during dim times, as I rock on in my personal development and passionate endeavors.”

🌟 “my songs know what you did in the daaaaaaaaaaark”

🌟 “u can’t spell “light” without “ht” (hate):

without light, we would always be in the dark; without the dark, we would always be in light. we can’t survive or navigate life without a balance of both (in actuality and metaphorically), and we wouldn’t understand both without both.

so it’s inevitable that each of us, no matter where we go, will endure both dark and light, or love (“lig”) and hate (“ht”). But “lig” (because of its 3 letters) always overpowers “ht”, unless you allow the latter (with 2 letters) to grow larger than it actually is.

i believe that in order to live a great heartfelt life, we must embrace the light, but we must also embrace the dark, without allowing ourselves to become it.

without love, we would have no peace or guidance; without hate, we would have nothing to fight for.

follow for more shower thoughts jk”

✨if u made it this far, wat's yo fav "light" song???✨ by @thebladproject
