More info on sizing 👇

If the bottom of your Dutch oven is 9” or larger, the BreadMat will fit perfectly

If it’s an oval, I recommend the v2 or the -L by @thebreadmat

I asked hundreds of people what baking vessels they liked to use and these are the most popular.

And @thebreadmat fits them all 🙌

My preferences?

I absolutely love the @lodgecastiron 3.2qt Combo Cooker. Budget friendly. Compact. Perfectly sized for my go to 875g oval loaf, but will fit a 1000g.

And if you’ve used the @challengerbreadware , you know how awesome it is! Stores a ton of heat. Nice tall dome. Fits whatever you want to bake. Handles everywhere! Clearly designed by a baker. Just like The BreadMat 😉

The BreadMat also works well on stones, steels, and specialty ovens. It allows you to easily transfer the bread with the handles or slides right off a peel.

Part 3: The Scoring Process

After the final shape in part 2 we placed the dough in the fridge for an overnight cold bulk.

In the morning I placed the dough into the freezer for 45mins as the oven preheated to 500 degrees. Freezing the dough will buy me a little more time to do such an intricate score.

Tell me, have you tried freezing your dough right before scoring?

Stay tuned for Part 4: The Bake Reveal ✨
