This has been on my mind for a long time, and it was finally time to make it happen.

Welcome to the new era of With Brooke Scott. ✨

I’ve always done my own branding. Over the last six years I’ve outsourced for logos, but I had never fully handed off a complete rebrand, even though I’ve wanted to the entire time I’ve been in business.

So much has changed in my business over the years, and I stopped connecting with my brand because of the growth I’ve had. I wanted it to feel consistent and cohesive, and I wanted it to connect to who I am and what I love, with more of my personality in one place.

I’ve also avoided using my name for a long time, and I think that’s a big part of what kept me feeling stuck. I related to what my brand was in the past, but I didn’t want to stay behind a label. I wanted to just be me.

That’s where Jess and Rach from @wearestudiomorii came in, and they absolutely killed it. They took everything that was in my head and brought it to life in a way I haven’t been able to on my own. It feels like me, and for the first time in this business, I feel like I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.

Of course I love a good fantasy book, and that might be the first thing you think of when you see the new icons. It goes a lot deeper than that. Each one connects to something intentional, like the work I do, the way I support my clients and the things I genuinely value.

What I do and who I work with isn’t changing. You’re still getting the same support you’ve wanted, and now I’m bringing more of myself to everything. There’s a bit more magic in the brand, and the foundation behind it is the same. Same support, new chapter.

Feel free to poke around on my site to see what’s changed. I’m still working on a few pages behind the scenes and I can’t wait to elevate the site even further. I hope you love it as much as I do, because I’m OBSESSED with everything about it.

More of this… and less being rushed 📖

Thank you to the algorithm, truly. 🙏🤍

The Lubbock Book Festival popped up on my Facebook feed of all places, and if it hadn’t, I would’ve completely missed one of the best days I’ve had in a long time.

Getting to walk around and actually talk to authors about their books was such a different kind of experience than scrolling Bookstagram or TikTok for recs. It felt personal. You could feel how much care and thought these authors put into their work just by hearing them talk about it. It made me connect with this community in a way I didn’t expect walking in.

I obviously wanted to buy hundreds of books and had to seriously limit myself (barely), but here’s who I walked away with as a first-time reader of their work. Already so excited to dive into these worlds and I’ll be sharing more as I read through them, so stay tuned. 📚✨

Missed Exit by Indie Sparks — @indiesparksauthor
Emerge by Sage St Claire — @sagestclairebooks
Once Upon a Holiday Romance by Tabitha Vance — @authortabithavance
Fate by Cathlin Shahriay — @cshahriary
Devil’s Thirst by Jill Ramsower — @jillramsowerauthor
To Free the Rising Storm by C.N. Maxwell

And to every author I didn’t get to grab a book from, I see you and I’m sorry, my wallet had to draw a line somewhere. 😅

This was such an emotionally wonderful day and honestly, I wish this was a once-a-month kind of event. This is exactly the format I want when I’m out here book shopping. More of this, please. 🤍

Encourage them to read.
Encourage them to think.
Encourage them to challenge & question you.
Encourage them to daydream.
Encourage them to soak up & learn everything.
Encourage them to never settle.
You are where they begin.

Just a little last, now, & next… because it’s officially time to re-open the world of SJM and get HYPE for the next books in the ACOTAR series!

Yes, that means a full re-read of 1-5 of ACOTAR and 1-3 of Crescent City. (IYKYK)

To say I’m excited is an UNDERSTATEMENT because this series is what got me back into reading. Yes, I’m emo about it. 🥹

It’s been a minute. But, when you have a 19 month old to keep out of everything, sometimes socials take a backseat for what’s more important IRL.

Alas, I’m still running on iced coffee and more books than I know how to juggle. I’ll be back sharing my reads & off cut edits soon! 👋 by @thebsideedit

Coffee orders are personal, and tech stacks are too.

I’m never going to be an almond milk girl, even if the internet keeps trying to convince me otherwise. And I feel the same way about business platforms.

One of the easiest myths to buy into is the idea that the right stack, all by itself, creates the foundation for growth. It doesn’t.

What actually supports growth is having platforms and systems that fit your client experience, your operations, and the way you deliver your work.

Because using the same tool as someone with 50k followers does not automatically mean it belongs in your business too.

I see business owners get pulled into changing platforms before they’ve even looked at how leads are being organized, what the numbers are showing, or whether their current setup is being used well in the first place. That is usually where the real story is.

A tool can be popular and still be a poor fit.

A platform can be powerful and still make your business harder to run.

The best stack is the one that supports how you actually work, how you serve people, and how you want your business to grow.

So yes, I care about the tech. I just care a whole lot more about whether it truly fits.

Tell me, what’s the business platform everyone loves that you just cannot get behind? ☕ by @thebsideedit

I love a good romantasy stack. 📚🐉

Give me the tension. Give me the chaos. Give me the slow burn, the betrayal, the war, the longing, the plot twist that makes me stare at the wall for twenty minutes. A good book stack knows exactly how to deliver.

And honestly, your business stack should be doing the same.

Maybe without the betrayal. Ideally without the war.

But with the kind of support that keeps things moving, makes the experience better, and does not leave you fighting for your life every time two platforms need to talk to each other.

Because the truth is, the right stack changes everything. In books, it gives you the full experience. In business, it gives you flow, support, and a setup that actually works with you instead of against you.

That is exactly what I’m talking about in my latest 2 blogs, Why the Right-Fit Platform Suite Matters and Choosing The Right Integrations For A More Intentional Funnnel. In both, we are getting deep and focusing on your stack.

If your current tech stack feels more like a cursed plotline than a well-written series, go read it. (Yes, head to my bio links, of course)

Then come back and tell me your favorite stack right now, both on your bookshelf and in your business.

For my @bookofthemonth choice for March, I went a little left from my usual fantasy lane with this pick.

I chose Love is an Algorithm by Laura Brooke Robson, because the digital age has its hands in everything now, including dating, and I’m curious to read a story that actually looks at what happens when “connection” starts getting measured instead of felt.

What pulled me in is the perspective shift. You’re not only watching someone date in the app era, you’re also seeing it through the lens of the person who helped build the app in the first place. That alone feels like it’s going to bring a very specific kind of tension.

I’ll report back once I’m in it, but for now I’m already seated for the “can you outsource love to an algorithm” conversation.

If you want to try Book of the Month, you can get your first book for $5 through the link in my bio! And with monthly credits, all you pay is shipping! AKA you’re getting books nearly free.
