In search of inner self by @agnimax

“I met this girl at Varanasi, one of the oldest living cities in the world. She looked like a tourist. She was young and fashionably dressed. As soon as she saw the beautiful sunrise, she paused all her movements and started watching it. It appeared as if she was mediating and had found her inner peace.”

Photo available as part of Pause, a collection of 100 artworks by South Asian artists.

Serenity by @itsmesubhash

When the rains fall on the plains of Masai Mara, the grass is lush green and there is a visible calm in the chaos. When I saw this lioness sitting and enjoying the rain, there was something serene about her expression. She seemed to be soaking in the respite offered by the rain. Made me realize how similar wild animals are to us humans in their appreciation of the natural world, yet so different. We often forget to take a pause and appreciate these natural wonders.

Stillness by @oqstudio

When your environment is spiraling out of control it can feel as if the world is shrinking. In these moments, we often forget the power we carry. The ability to listen to our body can be found in those moments of stillness. We will remember that it's important to exercise and take care of our mental health.

Serene by @sujithnavam

Despite day or dark, Earth or air, Waking or slumber; A moment, when we are who we are. A moment of serenity devoid of pretence. A much needed pause, when the nature takes its course. Thes are the moments in which we find true peace.

Beauty of Stillness by @jeetkhagram

To live life truly is to see within. To be with the self, truly, one needs to explore and endure stillness. Richest are those who can see the wealth in the presence of things crafted by the higher power, but the wiser ones are blessed enough to see within and know things beyond. This is one of my best possible moments at Pangong Tso, where I could feel absolute divinity. To be in the absolute centre of this beauty and experience stillness is one of the most memorable moments of my life's journey to date.

Umbra by @retina_vision

Lights and Shadows only exist because of the presence of each other. Without light, there will be no shadow. Shadow needs light and having light, there will always be a shadow.
