Barbara Lovercheck, daughter of the late Marlyn Washburn, was presented this generous donation for our Men 2 Program. Our Marlyn Washburn Grant is in honor of her late father. All the way from Nebraska: 💗 Humphrey Bulldogs Make a Difference! 💗
On Tuesday, our Humphrey 7–12th graders held a Delay of Game fundraiser in support of breast cancer awareness. Through students bringing in loose change for their teachers to count, donations from FCCLA and StuCo, and cookie sale proceeds from Mel Bulin, we are proud to announce that we raised $2,200 for the Men 2 Project! 🎉
We were honored to present the donation to Mrs. Lovercheck, Midwest Liaison for the Men 2 Project. We hope these funds help lessen the financial burden men face while battling breast cancer and provide support to those who need it most.
A huge THANK YOU to our students, staff, organizations, and community members who helped make this fundraiser a success! It’s amazing what we can accomplish when we come together for a great cause. 💗 #thecareprojectinc #tcpmen2 #community by @thecareprojectinc

💙 Men get breast cancer too, and no man should face it alone.

When Michael Dimopoulos received his diagnosis, he was scared and uncertain about what the future held. Through education, encouragement, and the support of organizations, including The CARE Project, he found hope and strength.

Today, we proudly spotlight Travis Douglas, Breast Cancer Survivor and a powerful voice for men navigating breast cancer.

Travis reminds us that strength isn’t always about standing on our own. Sometimes, the greatest strength comes from allowing ourselves to be vulnerable, asking for help, and letting others show up for us.

Through his breast cancer journey, Travis discovered the true meaning of support, connection, and community.

At The CARE Project, Inc., we believe no one should face breast cancer alone. Through our Men 2 Program, we provide emotional and financial support to men battling breast cancer nationwide.

MEN GET BREAST CANCER TOO!

Today, we’re shining a spotlight on Michael, a male breast cancer survivor who reminds us why The CARE Project’s Men 2 Program is so important.

After developing lymphedema following breast cancer treatment, Michael faced challenges obtaining the compression sleeves he needed in his home country. Through TCP’s commitment to supporting ALL breast cancer survivors, we were able to help him access these essential garments.

💙 Breast cancer does not discriminate, and neither does CARE.

We are grateful for our partnership with LympheDIVAS, which helps us provide compression garments to survivors like Michael.

Michael, thank you for sharing your story and reminding us why we do what we do!
