POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
🌱 May 30th is my womb emancipation day and I want to celebrate life in community with you.

For everyone who has walked alongside me in life, in work, in movement, and in whatever form our proximity takes I am grateful for you. Deeply.

If you have capacity, I am asking for some birthday love.

I am crowdfunding with a goal of $5,000 for our nonprofit, the Cervitude Coalition and I will personally DOUBLE every dollar, up to an additional $5,000. That means your gifts become a minimum of $10,000 in UNRESTRICTED FUNDS to keep our community going through the end of 2026.

Every. Single. Dollar. Gets doubled.
Your $25 becomes $50. Your $100 becomes $200.

There is no gift too small and your donation is tax-deductible in the US.

Since 2019, the Cervitude Coalition has been building what the system was never designed to give us: trauma-aware, liberation-centered mental health care rooted in Lowell, Massachusetts with a global reach, because collective healing has no borders.

The political attacks on our community are not abstract. They are violent. And still, we tend.

We sit with human beings our system has abused in 1:1 sessions where truth can finally breathe. We make art together, because our bodies need to express the inexpressible. We hold our traditionally underrepresented practitioners so they can keep holding others in a circle of care that refuses to collapse. We organize mutual aid, the material tenderness of survival. And we advocate, because love without power is just a beautiful wound.

The fires consuming our community are not metaphors. They are policies. They are daily.

And still we tend. And we will tend until we mend.

Your donation keeps the lights on. Literally. The phone lines clinicians use to reach clients in crisis. The HIPAA-compliant software that protects our most vulnerable. The administrative backbone that makes healing organized and possible. Fair compensation for practitioners who pour themselves into this work. All of it is necessary.

Will you celebrate life in community with me? Give what you can. Like and share if you can't.

With so much love and solidarity, always and in all ways,

Angelica 🌱

Reflection on Paint Your Autumn: A Creative Wellness Workshop on September 28!

Paint Your Autumn was a beautiful evening of reflection, creativity, and connection. We began with a guided visualization and a little fall fun, sharing our favorite cozy drinks before diving into our creative process. Using gentle prompts around what we’re ready to release, what we’re carrying forward, and what we want to invite in, we explored symbolism through color and other items associated with fall. A relaxing playlist played in the background, creating space for reflection and setting a smooth ambiance. We closed by sharing the stories behind our artwork and the wisdom we’re carrying into this new season. Grateful for the creativity, openness, and connection shared in our virtual space. May we flow gently with the changes this season brings. Thank you to everyone who joined!

Stay tuned for the final sessions of Createonthe8 with Mardia in 2026, in English, (ET). Details coming soon!

Like, follow and share to stay in the loop!

Our continued gratitude goes out to the Cervitude Creativity Collective @createonthe8 and The Cervitude Coalition Inc. @thecervitudecircle for their advocacy and commitment to providing free arts for health and wellness community support.

Paint Your Autumn
A virtual painting/drawing gathering

Workshop Description:
Through guided reflection and creative expression, we’ll take some time to slow down, check in with ourselves, and reflect on what this fall season brings up.
We’ll begin with a short guided meditation and reflection, then move into painting with some musical ambiance. Paint an autumn scene, a landscape that captures how you’re feeling, or simply see where the painting takes you.

We’ll close with an optional share out and a little time to reflect together.

No painting experience is needed. Please come as you are.

A question we get often: why don't you post more therapy content here?

Here's our honest answer. This is our current perspective which may evolve with time:

The therapeutic alliance is sacred endeavor that a clinician and a client get to co-create. Every public persona a clinician builds brings something new into the room: an audience, a projection, a parasocial closeness where boundaries can blur.

We are all still learning how deep those effects go and how it impacts the therapy process, so until we have some more evidence, we'd rather move slowly and intentionally around this.

Safety isn't abstract for us either. In addition to HIPAA considerations, we share intersectional identities that are targeted and met with violence, sharpened in this political moment, just like our clients do. Visibility is never neutral.

We hold this truth alongside another: visibility can be resistance. For folx who have been erased, pathologized, and silenced, being seen and naming your existence in public space is its own act of liberation, and we honor everyone doing that work.

Our subversion looks different: it is decolonial work aimed at dismantling oppression in the mind and in the world, one relationship at a time, often invisibly, often without multiple witnesses that can quickly deteriorate into surveillance.

Multiple truths can live in the same body of work. Visibility is sacred. Resistance is essential. And so is the quiet, unglamorous labor of unmaking empire in a therapy room where no algorithm should ever exist.

Our work is many things including but not limited to psychodynamic, relational, and person-centered: rooted in presence and relationship built over time, not algorithms. We'd rather put our energy into the moments in the "room" rather than into creating content and building a following.

There are wonderful clinicians doing that kind of psych-education online. We admire them and encourage you to seek out the ones that resonate with you. It's just not our jam.

You'll still see arts and wellness content from us thanks to @createonthe8.

Thank you for trusting us to do this work with care. 🌱

On Friday, August 28th, we gathered for an evening of connection, meditation, reflection, and creativity. 🕯️

We began with light conversation and introductions, then settled into a guided meditation to help us arrive together in the virtual space.

We shared rituals and practices that supported us last fall, and reflected on what we might want to carry with us into this new season. Then we got creative and made our own ritual cards, ending the evening with a beautiful and delightful share out.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and brought your presence, stories, and creativity into the space. It was such a joy to be in space together.

We are held. We are resourced. We are moving together. One grant at a time.

Cervitude Coalition has been awarded a $10,000 Community Access Fund grant from @rainbowrailroad!

This solidarity funding will help continue the grassroots work we have been doing since 2019!

This is what happens when funders understand that queer and trans survival is a collective project, not an individual burden. Rainbow Railroad has spent nearly two decades building pathways to safety for LGBTQI+ people facing persecution worldwide and now some of that care reaches us here in y/Our cervCircle.

Every dollar of this grant will move toward the people who need it, with no gatekeeping and no proving your pain is legitimate enough. You are welcome, just as you are.

Thanks to the Rainbow Railroad Community Access Fund Grant, we have space to welcome new participants through three doors of care:

🧠 Individual Mental Health Support
🤝 Mutual Aid Direct Assistance
🕊️ Community Healing Circles

✨ Centering LGBTQI+ folx impacted and/or displaced by Border Violence and Global Crisis

🕯️Like, Share and Follow us for more information! And stay tuned for details, coming soon!

Illustrated ritual cards for short grounding practices

A virtual creative workshop for welcoming the transition into fall

Workshop Description:
As we move toward a new season, we’ll pause to reflect on the practices and rituals that held us through the past year and make space for new ones we might want to carry forward.

Together, we’ll create simple illustrated ritual cards: small, tangible reminders of practices that help us ground, reconnect, rest, or care for ourselves in the midst of everyday life.

You’ll need:
Index cards or paper
A pen or pencil
Scissors, if you’d like to cut your cards into different shapes
Something to color with (colored pencils, markers, crayons, etc.)
No art experience needed. Come as you are, with whatever materials you have.
Rituals for Right Now: A creative pause for reflection, grounding, and imagining what care can look like in the season ahead.

Arriba, el texto dice "Taller Create on the Eight" en letras negras grandes. Threads That Hold US Workshop Recap

On July 28th, we gathered virtually for Threads That Hold Us, a workshop curated by Cervitude Coalition's Create on The 8, with support from Lowell Mosaic and facilitated by Mardia.

We began with a guided meditation to arrive together, then shared the little things that bring us comfort and joy; from fresh popcorn on the stove to soaking up some sunshine. These everyday moments inspired a drawing session, where we illustrated what keeps us grounded while listening to some tunes. We closed the evening by sharing our creations and hearing one another's reflections.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared a piece of what sustains you.

Next up: Rituals for Right Now: Illustrated Ritual Cards for Short Grounding Practices
August 8
8:00 PM (ET)

As we begin looking toward the transition into fall, we'll create a set of illustrated ritual cards while taking inventory of the practices that have been carrying us over the past few months. We'd love to have you join us.
