if you didn’t see my story already: today a beautiful little black girl came to my door to introduce herself and ask for my help. She informed me that today is her birthday and she didn’t have anyone else to help her do a pretty style. I did what I could in the short time we had before she had to go to school but still the situation weighed very heavily on my heart so I wanted to do something more to help her.

I want to thank @0g.dzi & Chideraa for helping me to get this young lady a few things to get her started on her natural hair journey so situations like this don’t happen to her again.

I don’t believe in posting other people’s children so I will not be posting her reaction but I did want to share in hopes of inspiring others to do similar.

It’s so important to me to be an aid to the people around me and doing things like this truly does make me feel as if I am living in my purpose.

Reasons Why These Braids Are NOT It⬇️⬇️⬇️

Price breakdown of these braids:

hair dye: $17
curly hair + braiding hair: $100
braid install: $350

These Small Boho Knotless Braids seemed like the perfect summer hair style but the outcome was sadly a bit disappointing. I hated the straight ends and hated even more that majority of the curly hair used was synthetic and not the human hair I paid so much for.

If you’re a perfectionist like me, it’s hard to ignore flaws when you had a clear idea of how you wanted something to be.

So instead of letting hair depression win & just taking the style out altogether I decided to make it a project & put my DIY skills to the test.

This first issue I tackled in this video was the straight ends. It took me getting this style to realize that straight ends on boho braids is just NOT my style.

A quick fix for this was just re-dipping my ends with some curling rods I had laying around!
The braids themselves are very neat minus a few being bigger than the others.

In my next video I’ll show you guys how to add and remove boho curly hair from your braids WITHOUT taking the entire braid down.
