The government recently announced a new scheme called Your First Home

You put down 2.5%, the government gives you a 20% equity loan and you take out a mortgage for the rest

On an average first time buyer home of £230,000, that’s £5,750

Full details should come out in the budget on 28th October

Making sure I paid the right amount of tax and National Insurance and also log into my pensions account to confirm the deduction came through

📊Track last month’s expenses
I reconcile my planned expenses against my actual spending for the month using my simple income and expenses tracker. I check for any unclear charges and cancel any subscriptions I no longer need

✅ Review last month’s income
I have several income sources that get paid at different times, so I check that everything came in as expected

💰Pay myself first
Before anything else, I put money aside for savings and investments

I give every pound a job then move money to where it needs to go
