It’s our last Sunset Dance of the summer, presented by Lakeland Regional Health! September’s dance series presents a night of konpa dancing – a Haitian dance style merging meringue and jazz – instructed by Jean-René Rinvil of Danse Konpa on Thursday, September 3! The Details: 7PM: Doors open for lessons 8– 10PM: Open social dance Sip & Snack: Enjoy warm hospitality and the fresh, bold flavors of the Bahamas from The Conch Spot. Visitors can learn more about our Bahamian cooking traditions from authentic dishes such as Bahamian Conch Salad, Tropical Conch Salad, and Conch Fritters. Heads-up on Footwear: The venue is carpeted, please skip the high heels or metal-soled shoes.
